Not saying I'd do the trade but Denver didn't get into the playoffs because of that wretched defense. It was putrid. The only reason they won more than 3 games last season was because of Jay Cutler. Brandon Marshall isn't a bad WR but believe me, Cutler makes him better than he is. Marshall makes T.O and Braylon Edwards hands look extremely cushy soft.

The guy blames his inability to hold the ball on nerve damage in one of his hands from putting it through a T.V while wrestling with his brother. Uh huh. Even if he was telling everyone the truth, that's no help if those are really the circumstances. Boy if he's making it up to cover up the truth talk about knowing you have bad hands.

Cutler is a BA and has a lot of talent.

If I were him i'd be upset with the situation too and how it was handled. Very shady.

But Romo for Cutler is just crazy and you have to have almost no appreciation for what Romo can do on the field.

Im absolutely scared to see any other QB other than Romo behind this offensive line.

Three years with a mega talented team and he has yet to win ONE single playoff game..

No one was calling this team "mega-talented" in 2006.

We were playoff hopefulls at best at the start of 2007, and had a great season and a bad playoff game.

The only year we were legitimate superbowl contenders from the get go was this year, and Romo was beaten up pretty good all year because the O-line disintegrated and the WRs melted down.

Would you have traded Manning too after he lost three of them?

Cutler's a whiny, immature kid, pouting because his ego was bruised. I can't think of a single such QB to ever win a SB. There's been a few nutjobs like Jim McMahon, but not one with a 5 year old's mentality, as far as I can remember.

I wouldn't trade Romo for Cutler + their #1 draft pick. No way I'd want him on my team.

I still am trying to figure out what exactly Romo has won to make him such a god.

Three years with a mega talented team and he has yet to win ONE single playoff game.

Guess people forget he had his own slip in leadership during one weekend in Cabo.

To me he is nothing more than Drew Brees lite...until he wins a meaningful game in late December/January....time is ticking Tony.
Mega-talented team?

Yeah I dont know why anyone would think it would be a good idea.

because it's someone we don't have and there seems to be a segment of fans who don't really care about playing the game, some fantasyland of trading players is their game.

very irritating crowd that TRADE SOMEONE DAMNIT group.

I am not sure I would do the trade as Cutler has more physical tools but seems immature but to make the case on playoff appearances is stupid. Cutler has had much less talent around him. The RB's stink and after Marshall so does their wr's and TE's. Their defense isn't as good as the Cowboys either.

i guess people will always harp on 1 incident as if it makes up everything around it.

find me ONE SINGLE PERSON who says romo is a God. just 1. if you can't, stop the drama - i'm tired of it.

a talented team has yet to win a playoff game. quit saving all the team failures for your favorite anti-boner player.

I'd have to agree... Give me Romo. He made some great points but I can understand why Cutler feels betrayed in Denver though.

Only a fool with sub-par comprehension skills could come to the conclusion you did about Terence Newman's comments in that interview.

That goes for everyone.

I now regret listing Cutler as a QB I'd (potentially) swap for Romo, straight up. This guy is clearly not a leader, and woe to the team that can only see his physical gifts and nothing else.

Yeah, the guy has a cannon arm and some pretty good talent There's a fine line between being cocky and being a headcase and Cutler seems to be wavering on it lately. If he we're in Dallas he'd be looking over his shoulder every two seconds to see who was writing/talking about him. Romo is grounded and shrugs a lot of that crap off and has some good productivity #'s wise to back up his skills.

Cutler sounds juicy but Romo is my guy.

I wouldn't trade Manning because he has always shown football comes first...I don't recall him going to Cabo in the middle of a playoff run or saying that crap Romo said after the Eagles game... I bet there are alot of guys in that locker room who think likewise.

Romo said the exact same thing after the Giants playoff game. Word for word. Nobody blinked. Nobody questioned his commitment to winning. No one on the team had an issue with it. No writers had endless blogs about it. Some analysts even praised his words, showing what an even-keeled person he is.

I bet the vast majority of guys in the locker don't even realize he said it again, or wouldn't have if the media and fans hadn't latched on to it like it somehow explains everything in a disappointing season. I'm sure if wasn't for the super-charged environment created by TO questioning everything and everybody but his own declining play, it probably would have sailed right by again.

I'll give you the Cabo thing was stupid, but he is still relatively young. I'm willing to bet that is his last mid season trip out of the country, and if he does do it again I will jump on board the wagon with you.

He also has had a much better offensive line and had an infinitely better offensive coach. Shanahan is one of the best ever. Garrett seem to be still figuring out which guys are the X's and which guys are the O's.

And the Cowboys defense has been mediocre until late this year. There is no question the offense carried the team to 13-3 last year, and one of the biggest turning points of the Giants playoff game was the 50 second drive at the end of the half.

No, they havn't been as bad as the Broncos, but they haven't been in the same zip code with Steelers either.

huh?

Come on now, you people are seting world records for massive over exaggerations this offseason.

We kicked their tails all over their stadium for most of that game. Their fans boo'd their offense off the field on a number of series.

The Dallas defense has not been as good as the Steeler defense for the past 2.5 seasons. Not even close.

They got semi-close late this year when Wade took over, but even then we were giving up back to back 70 yard TD runs to two mediocre Raven backs.

And the Steeler offense is in the bottom third of the league, and this was again after Wade had taken over.

Sorry if I didn't make that clear.

I think Romo's attitude is very conducive to handling QB'ing America's Team

he just doesn't let anything faze him for too long

wish he would be more commanding in the huddle, but I've seen him yell at his Olineman though, so the inkling to command is there

He'll be able to do it more now that TO is gone.
