Oh yeah...some (almost all) of those sports talk show hosts are more ignorant than the very biggest idiot fans.

well, the official station has the worst people known to man. Its unlistenable.

Espn has wally lynn who is generally right down the middle and joe avezanno who is the same.

the ticket has norm and donovan doing postgame and norm is usually slanted negatively, but he will point out the positives too.

There really is no point in listening to the fan. Larry brown is on the pregame show but he is surrounded by idiots and they bring him down.

The fan needs to step its game up next year.

One helluva pickup. I was lukewarm on his signing at first, but I'll tell you what... the guy has won me over bigtime.

The encouraging thing is that we have been able to see him become more and more of a force as the season has progressed. I knew it would take time to integrate him into the defense - and it has - but he is finally becoming comfortable. He has done more each game and yesterday he was all over the field.

His smart, energetic play and his common sense leadership is starting to pay big dividends for this defense. Once all the pieces come together on that side of the ball, the defense should be consistently good to very good.

Brooking is giving the defense a little bit of a personality and direction.

I can't wait to see him once he becomes fully comfortable playing and leading in this defense. He's going to be very, very good.

He will play lights out against Atlanta.

I know he will be fired up playing against atlanta but man, I think we can play good defense next week and still give up points in the mid 20s, atlanta is very talented on offense.

Because the Cowboys aren't the Giants, Vikings, Saints, and Eagles.

They're inconsistent, don't play smart football for 60 minutes, and they don't have a dynamic defense that can force turnovers.

All the teams you mentioned have at least two of those three character traits.

Absolutely right. Well said.

True enough. It will be a tough game. At least we have the bye.

We will need to score a good amount of points ourselves and hold them down somewhat on defense.

Brooking will help, I think.

Guess he didnt hear about the Giant/Raider game.

Dont agree with him here. the record for the 3 teams we beat is 1-13. We should be winning them with a little more ease

Agree. Check the score at the end of the first half when the Giants played the Chiefs.

The good teams beat the bad teams with ease in this league. Vikings/Rams;
Eagles/Bucs; Giants/Raiders.

The list goes on and on...

I love this guy! What is going to be hard for us to admit is that we just aren't good enough to blow anyone out right now. But we are good enough to be in every game. Hopefully with leadership like this we will get better throughout the year and be a better team once the playoffs start.

Remember how many of the Patriots teams wins have been ugly. It only matters how you finish not how pretty the wins were

Man, if he keeps this stuff up, he's going to become a favorite player of mine. I hope he's got a lot left and can really help us through the remainder of his contract.

You are right, I didn't even think about that. This guy is fired up already, he may pass out in this game. Brooking is what we all thought Zach Thomas would be last year.
He also is what Bradie James should have been all along.

That was about the only thing he said that I disagree with. One-sided contests aren't common place, but they aren't exactly scarce either. It happens every week. Teams that are "supposed to win" often do rather easily.

This was a team we should have beaten much like the Eagles, Vikings and Giants did with their opponents---IF we indeed are what we supposedly are.

It isn't that the expectations are that high. He compared it to Atlanta. Well, Atlanta has never been regarded as among the conference's better teams except for a few (well, perhaps only one) of the year's he played for the Falcons.

Perhaps it is just that the perception that is out there that this is one of the league's better teams is just false. If so, then yes, the expectations based off that false assumption are unrealistic.

This has been one of my favorite FA pickups in a handful of years. He's been a really good player thus far for us this year. I love his attitude.

Is it too much for a fan to ask the team to play disciplined. I love Keith and think he should be named team captain, but just like a few on this thread have stated the giants, eagles, Vikings all cruised to easy victories over inferior opponents. The good teams make quick work of bad teams. Until proven otherwise were an average team.

Blowouts tend to be 2 fold, 1 team playing very well and the other team making many mistakes. Most games in the NFL between 1 good team and 1 bad team still comes down to a few plays making the differance. Seattle smoked Jacksonville yesterday but that score does not tell me Seattle is that much better than Jacksonville it just tells me on this day Seattle played a good game and Jacksonville made some critical mistakes

I disagree with your thoughts on the expectations.

Bill Parcells even stated that the fans overrate this team. The Dallas Cowboys have enjoyed so much success throughout the years, that expectations are insanely unrealistic every year.

As I stated, the only people upset with 3-2 and the way we have played are those that bought into the Superbowl/NFC Champions Hype.

BTW, welcome to Dallas Keith, the expectations are insanely high, but that isn't going to change, so get used to it.

One of the main reason they are playing in a billion dollar stadium where the citizens of Arlington pitched in about half and you have all those prime time games are because of the fans, no matter how stupid people perceive them to be.
