The Giants won the superbowl with who at CB? Who were those shutdown CBs the Giants had? It would be nice to sign T-New but at what price? 8 years and $100 million with $35 million guaranteed for a guy over 30 years old? No thanks!!! Seriously, the guy wants too much money. Cap hell is inevitable. Too much risk vs. reward.

oh wow one super bowl winner with no great CB...who cares...Ive seen this D get burned too many times. Give TNew the money...he deserves it more than any other player on this team. A lot of people talk about having a doomsday defense but few understand that w/out at least one shut down corners its not going to happen. We can have a great D, signing Newman isnt going to be as bad as y'all are making it out to be.

Newman's future depends on Pacman and Jenkins. The latter two are signed for four and five years, respectively. If Pacman shows he's cleaned up his act and Jenkins shows he's a first round corner, then why on earth would you sign Newman for $9m per?? You can't have three number one corners on the field at once. And don't forget about Scandrick or Ball. They may surprise too.
