CBS NFL insider Charley Casserly offered this gem on Sunday.
"Thursday night, a memo went out to all 32 teams which said, no longer will the cheerleaders be allowed to warm up in front of the visiting team locker room or do their stretching in front of the visiting team locker room or they can't go in the tunnel anymore. The reason – some players felt they were being a little distracted."

I don't think children (provided we're talking about children and not 12 year old boys) really understand the sexual nature of what the cheerleaders are doing, though.

And once they're that old, they've already got school cheeleaders anyhow. Can't protect 'em from everything.

The larger issue, for me, is the message it sends to kids...You go to a football game, and there are children there...Little girls seeing that it's 'ok' to use your body to gain attention and money because you're a woman while it has nothing to do with the game at hand...It's oxymoronic at the very best and awfully sexist at the very least.

Makes people think that women are a piece of meat...I don't see it that way.
