I'm not going to give any credence to your theory.

Go cry in a corner.

I'm going back into your attic.

he will add to the joking about this team instantly, but he is better than brooks. Didnt he call out wade wilson for being a bad coach in chicago though?

Put a sock in it Francis. We know how much you hate the Cowboys.

Don't let him trick you, dude. You'll end up with a bun in the oven and an inexplicable rash.

i'd be ok with rex but i dont want to pay more than 1.5 / year.

He gets $1 million since it's such a cozy opportunity. I want to save at least .5 million from dumping Brad. Rex don't take the $1 million to ride the pine he can go somewhere else. Any backup coming here better know that. Now, I also put a nice escalator in there if the chooch can win at least 2 games. Give him another .5 million for that and if he goes .500 in anything over 5 games he gets bumped to $2 million.

Of course Romo would have to be hurt for more than 5 games. This means the backup gets 325k-400K a game if he goes 3 out of 5-6 games. That's darn good backup money and a great return on our investment if the QB performs. The motiviation will be there not to throw 3 picks a game for guys like Rex.

I'd take Rex in a second, that's the type of guy we're going to get in here to backup Romo guys, get used to it.

I agree. I see nothing wrong w/ Rex coming in to be Tony's backup.

I want the perception of the Cowboys contracts to be like NE's out there. Which is, discount but an opportunity to win. Jerry can set that precidence this year. I know we don't have 3 super bowls this decade but we have alot in place to get to winning if we can churn our depth, get rid of some under performering starters and get a real coaching staff that won't be underminded by the owner/GM. Heck, now that I think of it, I guess we do have to pay more than everyone else. LOL! Can wish though.

THIS is how I find out? You've got to be kidding me. No phone call? No "thanks for the wonderful night" No heads up. Just out and in the open on a message board?

You told me you were on the pill.

I can't trust you.

We are over.

Well, he has won a playoff game :D

I think as a back-up he's fine.

We should still draft a rookie this year regardless.

What are you saying. Play Romo till game 12, then play Grossman for games 13, 14, 15, 16, playoffs, and Superbowl? :lmao2:

We may have won the St Louis game and made the playoffs with Rex.

Yes.

But that doesn't make it right.

I may be alone in this, but I feel like Romo needs competition. If Rex is already saying he's not going to compete for the starting position and is willing to take the backup role, that's fine; but we need someone to come and compete with Romo, hopefully to make Romo think before he throws a ball, knowing he could lose his position as a starter. Last year Romo had nothingto be scared about losing his starting role. I'm not saying that Rex wouldn't be good as a backup, because I believe he will. I feel that he needs to come and compete for that postion. But thats all im sayin'... good ya'll!

I honestly wouldn't be opposed to him as a backup because he's proven he can win in the league even though he's up and down. As a backup option he'd be better than what we've had as a backup since Romo was a backup.

I think Romo needs a sports psychologist from December 1st to February 6th.
