yes I hate the cowboys.

Go chip ice ******.
All you do is complain about every tiny move this organization makes. You know how to run this billion dollar organization. You have all the answers.

See your post history if you don't believe me. You tantrum throw more anyone on the forum when something the Cowboys do doesn't fit your mantra of "I know what to do's".

Chip ice? ******? You take things very personally don't you?

Im just pointing out the fact that nothing this organization does ever suits you.

You don't have to name call man. I wold hope we could be adults here.

Any contract must be specifically addressed to "Good Rex".

And that's how he has to sign the deal!

Good Rex Grossman

I may be alone in this, but I feel like Romo needs competition. If Rex is already saying he's not going to compete for the starting position and is willing to take the backup role, that's fine; but we need someone to come and compete with Romo, hopefully to make Romo think before he throws a ball, knowing he could lose his position as a starter. Last year Romo had nothingto be scared about losing his starting role. I'm not saying that Rex wouldn't be good as a backup, because I believe he will. I feel that he needs to come and compete for that postion. But thats all im sayin'... good ya'll!

Agree 100%. Plus, Romo has Farve-like recklessness without Farve-like toughness and I can see him being out for extended periods of time if we don't change our offensive philosophy. It would be great to have a QB like Carr to develop into a real potential starter and to challenge the smug one on game day.

You're not ALONE. I've been saying it for awhile, Romo needs to start feeling there are consequences for his mistakes. Romo needs to value the ball more and forget about this Brett Favre wannable gunslinger mentality. Competition is always good regardless of the position.

nobody is gonna give him competition. he is better than anybody we will sign/draft and is getting paid 67 million.

If I remember correctly, and I do.. Good Rex Grossman was VERY GOOD.

He impressed me with his deep ball especially. I thought he was going far.

Good Rex Grossman could actually take this team places if Tony went down.

The guy has a $67M contract, has thrown over 80 TDs in 2 and half seasons and been to the Pro Bowl twice in 3 years. Not to mention Jerry loves him (and Jessica) to death for being media mainstays.

He's pretty much going to have to turn into Quincy Carter before anyone is going to walk in here and 'challenge' him for a job. And even then he may have to run over Jerry's dog to boot.

How about we get a decent coach instead and reign in the talented guy we already have? Or better yet, as you mentioned change our offensive philosophy to better suit him and cut down the opportunities to take those risks?

He's certainly had his 'moments', both good and bad.

But I will say - in his defense - that he's never had the talent around him in Chicago that he will if he signs in Dallas.

I still prefer John Beck because I think he plays like Romo and that means not a transition for the Offense if he did go down.

I would like both of those things, especially the coach thing, but it doesn't seem like we are able to have either a decent coach or a game plan that doesn't kill Tony, so I was kind of going for the Carr thing. But you are right, that's the way we should go at it.

Good point, it's just the Parcell's bend over trade factor that worries me. Hopefully we could get him for a 6th or free if released.

The last thing the Cowboys need is another turnover prone QB. Rex has the tendency to throw interceptions just like Romo and right now we have to hope Romo makes less mistakes and get a RELIABLE backup. In my opinion, Grossman should not even be in the NFL anymore.

The only person I've seen Beck play like is Beck, how you can say he plays by Romo is more than confusing considering Romo is a Pro Bowler and Beck looked like garbage whenever he saw the field. The guy was outplayed by Cleo Lemon. Cleo Lemon!

Would Grossman make the vet minimum and what is that now?

Grossman scares me. He plays like he has no confidence. He's too up and down but what do I know.

he should be considered at least.it s not like we have a lot of options.drafting a QB is a must though.

I think it'd be a fine signing, though I still think we should draft a QB in the later rounds.

I mean, you could probably find better options, but he would probably be cheaper than those options, he wants to play here, hes fine with being a back up, and hes better than Johnson and Bollinger IMO
