How you guys can compare one of the greatest comeback QBs ever who played 20 years in the NFL to a guy who hasn't even finished a full season of games is beyond me.

correction, his good years were in the CFL, not the NFL

You don't go from undrafted reject to 300 yards and 3 TDs a game in the NFL without cheating somehow. Period.

Come on butthead, come out say it, you are alleging he is on roids.

What major games of consequence has Romo won? Flutie has won many. Who was the higher draft pick? Who won the Heisman?

There is no comparison.
someone should beat the crap out of you for saying this. This was the worst post I have read in a long freakin time. You should just be randomnly getting smacked everyday.

The Heisman Trophy, what a joke.

I can't remember what team Jason White plays for, but he is probably lighting it up considering he won the Heisman and all........

You do realize that Tony Romo played for Eastern Illinois a 1-AA school right? Division 1-AA schools have their own Heisman its called "The Walter Payton Award".

COLLEGE: On Dec.19, 2002, Tony Romo was the first player in Eastern Illinois and Ohio Valley Conference history to win the Walter Payton Award, given annually to the nation's top player at the NCAA Division 1-AA level.

I'm not sure HogsRLegends realizes much of ANYTHING, nevertheless anything pertinent.

This guy might be the worst Commanders troll on this forum, and that's saying a lot. The only thing going on upstairs there is buzzing and clicking. Buzzing and clicking. Duurrrrrrrrr.

Even if the ridiculous notion that Dallas somehow cheated to get Romo were true, how would that make Flutie better than Romo?

The Heisman is no joke. It is given to the BEST player in Divsion I-A (far superior to I-AA) college football each year. How Romo could have leapfrogged so many first, second, third round picks is unreal.

The Heisman is no joke, but you're doing your very best to be one everyday. There are a number of examples of Heisman trophy winners who did squat in the pros. Care to explain what happened to Heisman Trophy winner Andre Ware?

Neither is the Walter Payton Award which has been given to players such as Brian Westbrook, Steve McNair, Dave Megget and Tony Romo among others who have gone on to NFL careers. Its name comes from perhaps the best 1-AA player ever.

There were other teams after Romo when he came out of college, he has stated he signed with the Cowboys because he thought it gave him his best chance to stick with a NFL team. Looks like his strategy worked he was given the chance to develop and now his talent and composure have you whining like a truck axle that hasn't been greased.

If you don't like it take it up with your teams owner and management, that is where your complaints really rest.

Where was Troy Smith drafted? How many yards has he thrown for?

Tony Romo didnt exacly come out of nowhere. He was rated fairly high coming out that draft year. 7th-8th QB if I remember correctly. Widely believed to be a draft prospect. That day he slid out of the draft. Probably due to the competition he faced. Or, teams not wanting to pay him as a selection when he could be had as FA.

HogsRLegends is just messing around. He is not being serious. He is merely having fun at the expense of Cowboys fans here.

He's been saying this silly stuff since he joined the forum. It's much more likely, given the Commanders fans I've dealt with in the past, that he really is that stupid.

You realize that he is actually half mexican and half italian. Ok you want to throw in a jalepeno or two into that sauce. I'll be good with that. Now where was I...Romo sono buono....

Come on Nors, fess up at least. If it makes you feel better we are both half right. But I get the read it and weep award...

Doesn't it seem fishy to you that all of a sudden Romo goes from undrafted unknown to throwing 300 yards and 3 TDs a game?

HogsRLegends;1689165 said:
<snip>An undrafted QB just doesn't have the stats that Romo has unless something suspect is happening.

HogsRLegends;1689232 said:
I think something was done surreptitiously to keep Romo in Dallas and get him to Dallas without the knowledge of other NFL teams. How can someone be that good and not be drafted? Come on.

This is perhaps the highest compliment I have ever heard given to Tony Romo.
