DMN Blog: Sam Hurd has a high ankle sprain

Lord knows you do not play your 3rd or 4th stringers in a Preseason game.

You don't when your 4th and 5th are already hurt. It's pretty simple.

If it turns out that it's not as bad a sprain, as some others, and he can bounce back in about 10 days that would be really great. It's not like he'd need to be 100% to play the third spot for a game. If he can get back to 90% and be effective against Cleveland, without further aggrivating the injury, then I think we'd be alright because I think Austin will be back for the Philly game.

You have to play somebody ..... you have to give the QB you are evaluating a chance.

Anderson, Curtis, Bennett, and Jones were out there as well.

Football is not a profession for the scared.

They should have played all the starters for at least a series.
