DMN Blog: Spencer gives Ray Edwards his helmet

Columbo is coming off a broken ankle less than 2 months ago, right?

I have seen enough of the guy to know a healthy Columbo doesn't fail like he did yesterday. I mean, how many other times has Edwards looked like Reggie White?

Colombo should have never been put out there. He definitely wasn't right.

He might have gotten pulled later, but then "The Hotel" went down. Free didn't do too well either.

There is a reason that the Vikings led the league in sacks. Some teams like the Eagles scared people because they blitzed. You can scheme for that and neutralize them, and we did. But the Vikings just had mad talent on their defensive line. At some point, we just need to give them props.

As much as I like the good sportsmanship by Spencer I wish he would have showed it in a different way. A Dallas Cowboy helmet hanging on the shelf of some opposing player like some kind of hunting trophy makes me uneasy.

It's not like he gave it to Favre. He gave it to a player we went to the same school with.

That's good sportsmanship.

I'm not sure if anyone else saw it, but Flozell was manhandling Jared Allen until he got hurt.
yeah, when he tackled him.

Marc Colombo should have given him his helmet too. Ray Edwards is a solid player, can't believe he was only a 4th rounder.

He didn't need Colombo's, he already took his manhood on the field!!

I was thinking the same thing...... the word castration comes to mind. :D

ESPN reports Edwards put Spencer's helmet on top of his locker, right next to Columbo's manhood.

Preferably with his head in it.

He already had Columbo's nads. Why did he need anything else?

Spence was our best player Sunday. 9 tackles and a sack. He seemed revved up after every play even into the 4th quarter. I think his development was the best part of this season.

Appearently not, most of the posts around hear were bashing Flozell all day as if he played RT. Thank god Free is ready and waiting. His footwork is light years ahead of Columbos. When he came in for Flozell, he was running across the backfield trying to hit people who missed Romo on their first pass. Columbo was ole'ing and then throwing his hands up. He was horrendous.

Davis also was slow out of his stance and looked lost. The OL was not prepared. Bottom line.
