T.O. says Parcells is 'out of touch'

Terrell Owens says former Cowboys coach Bill Parcells is out of touch with many current NFL players.

Owens, in an interview with Bloomberg Radio's On the Ball program to air this weekend, was critical of the way Parcells has dealt with Dolphins defensive end Jason Taylor this off-season. The 66-year-old Parcells became Miami's executive vice president of football operations in December. Taylor, who missed off-season workouts while taping ABC's Dancing With the Stars, has said Parcells refused to speak with him.

T.O.'s response?

"I think he plays too many head games with a lot of people. What Jason was doing was beneficial for him. It's not football-related, it has to do with his personal life. Coach Parcells is way off base to criticize and call Jason out in the manner that he has. They're starting to realize he is kind of out of touch with a lot of today's athletes and things that are going on."

Keep Hammering him T.O..... he's dead on. Everyone knows taylor is a monster when he steps on the field parcells is just playing mind games and is trying to make an example of out him. If taylor wants to pursue other avenues of enjoyment during his offseason he has that right. I'm sure parcells has never done anything on his offseason time like gambling on the horses at Saratoga or cacthing a spring training baseball game. Maybe if he were breaking down more film instead of enjoying himself we might have won a playoff game.

I agree with TO but just leave it alone man.
The last thing TO needs is some controversial remark when everything is looking up for him. Keep being a choirboy, TO. Keep the remarks to yourself.

The guy is brutally honest and it gets him in trouble.

Precisely. I think he does so much "damage" to his "haters" by just being cool. No T.O. news drives'em crazy. Just being cool and continuing to light up the endzone and the record books is all he needs to do stick it to Parcells.

TO is right and the same thing could be said about Coach Gibbs.
The thing that Parcells has over Gibbs is he ability to spot players, and I give Parcells alittle more flexibility when it comes to dealing with some of todays players.

That's the trouble with the "old school" coaches like Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin ... they are outdated and can't win in today's NFL.

On the other side of the coin you got Cam Cameran, Herm Edwards, Mike Nolan and Scott Linehan who are really cool "new school" guys who have their finger on the pulse of today's NFL players. That's why their teams win so many games.

For a guy that is out of touch he still could get teams to win a few ball games (No I am not a Big Bill Fan)
Even with the mind games

What I read is the new players are weak minded and can not deal with things that may shatter that ego of theirs.

He might be a jerk, but he is by NO means ignorant. He left this franchise in a heck of a lot better condition than he found it in.

Everyone's afraid to say something about the "great" Tuna, we all should know by now that TO says what most of us are thinking. It's a message saying, treat a man like a man.

These are adults, not high school and grade school kids.
