Pacman Jones said there's a good chance he could return to the Cowboys. Ok, let's humor ourselves this morning and ponder this.

I was told three teams have already contacted Pacman about returning to the league. I find that amazing. Don't know the three teams but let's look at some, who might.

1. Oakland. Yes, its crazy Al, that's the only reason why. By the way, Pacman was in L.A. yesterday, could he be meeting crazy Al.

2. Dallas. Yes, it's Jerry being Jerry.

3. Jacksonville. Jags finished 24th against the pass this season and Rashean Mathis had a nice season with four picks, returning two for scores. But Brian Williams the other corner had two INTs and surely, Pacman is better than this guy.

Somebody will pick Pacman up, unless the league and Atlanta police find new information where they must charge the out-of-work corner relating to the Atlanta shooting in June 2007.

Why on earth would we release him only to re-sign him? It's not like his salary was very big in '09.

Its obvious that Jerry didnt want the bad pub and more criticism in the short run.

But......

Based on Pacmans reaction to JB interview, its obvious Jerry told him something to make him believe he had a chance to resign. You could tell in interview Pacman was holding something back. Probably wanted to tell them that but Jerry told him not to mention that conversation..

" So you are telling me that there is a chance"

If this whole OTL story turns out to be nothing, Jerry would have made another stupid decision with pacman.

His first stupid decision was to sign him. Then after working with him and apparently helping to rehab him, he decides to cut him because of some stupid story that espn made up.

Since we signed this guy, all he's done was have an issue with his security guard. Even that now seems to be a minor issue that was blown up by the media.

Pacman was bar none our best corner. Despite his injuries and average punt returning, he played well at corner. It was apparent how bad our secondary was without him.

I'll give you that, at a point in the season, he was our best corner. Coincidentally, Newman was on the sideline. I think he'll be an even better corner next year, but I'd prefer to give that playing time to the kids (Scandrick and Jenkins), move Henry to FS, slide Hamlin over to SS, draft some more kids, and send Pacman on his way.

On the nosey

It wasn't hard for Pacman to be the best cb when Newman was out. He was being compared to Henry and two rookies.

eventually people will realize he was cut because 1) he wasnt any good at CB 2) he was dreadful on returns and 3) he was a cancer

I never thought he was cut solely because of ESPN's report.

Can other teams contact him before his release becomes official? I guess the Cowboys would have to file a complaint.

Pacman was our best corner? What a joke. T.Newman was much better and the rookie Jenkins was better as well.

Pacman is overrated.

i prefer Jax. We play Oakland next year, and with our history of motivating snubbed players, I dont want to have to deal with Pac next year.

I disagree, once Newman came back from injury he was playing way better than Pacman with the exception of one play vs Pitt.

Well that is when Pacman was actually playing.:

I'm willing to bet that when the coverage stats come out during the summer, Pacman will have significantly better lines than Newman.

Newman got used like a Tampax vs the Eagles.
