No, Pacman was much better than Newman this year.

In what game, please provide specifics and I might listen. When Newman was healthy at the end of the season, he was a shut down corner.

I can think of 31 teams I'd like to see Pacman sign with.

None have stars on their helmets.

eventually people will realize he was cut because 1) he wasnt any good at CB 2) he was dreadful on returns and 3) he was a cancer

I never thought he was cut solely because of ESPN's report.

I agree, Jerry said there would be changes ....so he is gonna cut ties with the problem players ....hopefully...he cant cut T.O. ( i hope he does but i dont think he will) ...so he will cut the rest of the problems to try and salvage this thing....cause if hes gonna keep Wade he needs to get rid of the bad strong personalities so Wade can try and get this team back

Why narrow it down to a specific game? I was talking about the season as a whole.

I'm willing to bet that when the coverage stats come out during the summer, Pacman will have significantly better lines than Newman.

no, they wont

From what I saw the whole defense got used

i actually thought on the whole, the defense played well. It's hard to compete when the offense is self destructing and giving the defense zero help. all those turnovers really took their toll on the D. Also, the only TDs the Eagles scored in the 2nd half were by the defense.

I know the Eagles basically called off the dogs and merely settled for FGs, but still. The D definitely outplayed the O in the Eagles game.

Newman gave up that stupid PI in the end-zone on the very series that Pac-man got the personal foul penalty. Remember, they stopped the eagles after the Pac-man incident and put them in a situation of third and long.. newman kept that drive alive...

Newman also let that big play to Desean Jackson on a 3rd down as well..

Newman shouldnt have got a PI call on that one in the endzone...maybe illegal contact, but not PI

as for the completion he gave up, it was a perfect throw by McFlabb...he doesnt make many of them, but he did on that. The coverage was good.

Wanna bet?

Thats fine. Teams threw at Jones more than Newman when they were both out there, so I'm pretty sure the total number of yds and completions given up will be in Newman's favor.

So what? Pac-man slipped on the crossing pattern and he shouldn't have gotten a personal foul as well. A lot of Cowboys were slipping on the field... The offensive player was still in the filed of play and it was only the momentum that made it look like a PI...

And whether it was a PI or an illegal contact, Nemwan kept the drive alive with his penalty... It was a third and long, and Newman kept his back turned.

If your going to knock Pac-man, then there is every reason to knock Newman. Newman gave up a couple of third and long bombs this year that kept drives alive... The numbers were already showing him as our best corner, with him giving up the least amount of yards per play. And the funny thing is, those that hate say he was targetted more... So even then, it proves the opposite of their point...

Pac-man was probably our best corner, with a year off, and limited playing time... That is the amusing thing about the anti-Pacman crowd...

Stats aren't gonna matter - he isn't coming back - period.
And I don't want him back. But to say he wasn't a good corner here in '08 on the field is silly.
