DMN Blog: Tony Romo says Jason Garrett didn't send slim down message

Thank You!!!

Somebody gets it.

The more I hear Romo talk the more I am leaning to the side that he will never be more than what he is today.

The interview with Lauffenberg really startled me. Romo's comment about people coming to him with good advise on how to beat the other team and not tell him how to lead.

Then him telling Babe they need to swap chairs and Tony will ask about his career. Then followed by saying that will be a short conversation.

Petulance is not a character trait I want to see in my quarterback.

Neither is arrogance when you've double-bogied two Decembers in a row.

But what really steams my cabbage is it appears that I care more about this team and post season than the guy getting paid 60+ million who has control of that destiny.

2009 TEAM MOTTO:

SHOW ME, ROMO

Somebody maybe, but not you.

:)

if i didnt know any better id swear this board is full of woman....this is amazing at the way you grown men carry on, and complain

sit back, and relax...its always easy to sit back and critize when you dont play a sport, or the sport
Insult to women everywhere...

Now if you'd compared them to toddlers, then you might have a point..

Yes, this is sports journalism. Since there's nothing of real consequence they can run any story based on whatever flimsy quote they get.

And as long as there's no or little consequences to doing that, they keep on doing it. Of course there's a long term consequence, people going elsewhere for their sports news and papers blame the blogs for doing so. The problem isn't the blogs. It's that people are sick and tired or not interested in reading the Mr. Blue Suits, Mac and the Hack and Tim MacMahon's of the world.

Oh, get over yourself.

From all trustworthy accounts, Romo is a very hard worker. On the practice field, in the gym, in the film room, and in the meeting room. He busts his butt to get better each offseason (like last year when he worked on not inadvertantly moving up in the pocket).

And of course, there's the effort he puts in on the field every Sunday, the hits he takes, and the fact that he's willing to play hurt... he has proven his toughness in spades.

Now what do YOU do to show that you "care more" than that?

You "care more" simply because you weren't satisfied with the answers to a few tiresome questions he gave?

We'll see when the chilly winds of December come.

The hits and effort mean zip if he is not staying in condition.

Or were Parcells words just something he said to be cute?

He probably meant female toddlers.

Parcels said Romo doesn't stay in condition? Or am I not understanding the direction this rant has taken?
