Probably for blitz pickup

it wasn't for blitz pickup, they handed off to him

unbelievable coaching decision to have barber in the game as opposed to Choice, but not surprising

He is an excellent DC. He is a lousy HC. I wished he would take a demotion but he wouldn't and so we will lose a very good DC and HC when on Monday morning he is fired. (I hope). Let Campo be the DC. He can be a very good DC as well.

Not to sour a win, but his defense today actually had 5 offsides penalties in one series this game, and then folded (again!) at the end of the 4th quarter to one of the worst offenses in the league.

I'm note real impressed with the DC this season.

Wade: Well, I think in the first half, we played to the level of the Chiefs stadium. In the second half, we made some adjustments and righted the ship. And I think in overtime, especially, we played to the level of our new stadium. That was key in winning today.

Actually, aren't those Jerry's thoughts on the game?

Wade's mind is probably just on how many glasses of buttermilk he's going to pound down to celebrate this win.

You mean you didn't enjoy his defense lining up offsides time and again, or not getting a turnover, or predictably buckling before the end of regulation? Hater.

Wade tells his players to line up offsides? Interesting...

How many times do you have to tell a player to stop being stupid before he listens?

Good point but the off sides penalties are mental and that is coaching which reflects the entire team. Look at the number of penalties on the O. Point is the scheme is very good and that is developed by Wade. Now the whole folding thing at the end concerns me but I think it is more of a refection of the O not being able to score and putting the Defense in a bad position and being on the field so much, IMO.

He's not responsible for anything that happens on the field? Interesting. If true, why would any coach be fired in this league? After all, it's out of their hands.

Saying he's not responsible for everything is different from saying he's not responsible for anything.

There's plenty to criticize Wade for, so it shouldn't be hard to find a legit criticism. But this ain't one.

Beautifully put. He is responsible for the product that ultimately goes on the field, and I have significant concerns about that product. The Cowboys were fortunate to win today. Here's hoping that luck will have less to do with a win next time.

He's not responsible for something so elementary? He was the guy pulling players in camp for making mental mistakes, right? That turned out well. Anyway, it's nice to see you show your face after a win, unlike last week. A coincidence, I'm sure.

Just because he's in there for pass protection doesn't mean they'll never give him the ball. They still have to have some balance.

Okay, maybe I can actually discuss my thread in this game-related thread.

Why on earth was Barber in the game if he's not at 100%? Who made that decision?

Red and JJ... Wade has no say so in the offensive side of the house.. I love Barber but it's so obvious he is injured. :bang2:

Haha, I stumbled upon that site about three months ago. For a kid like me who isn't living in the DFW area currently, that site has been a godsend.

Yesterday, I was listening to the deep throat informant talking about the wackiness in the locker room when TO was accusing Romo and Witten of diagramming secret plays. That was greatness.

Great point. Too bad it proves my argument and not yours.

Not much of a coincidence. This place is barely tolerable after a close win. A tough loss makes it completely unreadable.

Not sure what your point is.

I couldn't blame you. It seems like 75% of the posters here seem to think you should be absolutely miserable as a fan every week, win or lose.
