I miss the Parcells PC's, and his talent evaluation. We are where we are today because of him roster side.

I am not against Parcels but I don't see where a person can say this definitively. Romo wasn't his choice. He didn't want Ware with the 11th and if we had just one pick, it wouldn't have been Ware. He passed on Jackson for Jones. He retreaded Testeverde and Bledsoe. He brought in his pet project rookies that never panned out. He wanted to hold onto Keyshawn over TO. He constantly held back peoples progress for HIS guys even if his guys were retired for the past 5 years. He had major major trust issues.

A couple wrong bounces in any of those area's and his tenure here would have been seen as a complete failure. The success this organization has had was not entirely due to him.

And that is why we need Matt Jones on this team!!

I still cannot tell how the refs had definitive proof to move Witten back enough to make it 4th down.

I don't know how anyone can watch that replay and conclude anything other than he was clearly short of the marker. His feet on the ground clearly mark his progress and Seattle (Tatupu I think) stood him straight up so there was no lean available. I just don't think it was anywhere near debateable.

It hurts because the original mark gave it to him, but the re-spotting was justified IMO.

I think it was more the offensive line than Barber. I mean the lookout blocks were consistent in the second half -- running or throwing was difficult without blocking. No blocking = no chance.

Actually He didnt. I know that doesnt sell newspapers but whatever.

I watched the interview last night. Andrea Kremer did a great job on the interview.

He just cited that play as how hard a season is and how hard it is to get back to that point, like he has many many times since then.

I guess It doesnt matter though, this board and the national media will run around with parcells blaming romo. I dont know why I bother.

Even reading the statement he made I took it more as the disappointment of being that close and coming up short as the reason for retiring. I did not get the sense he was blaming Romo just the situation

How about the fat tuna blame himself for that conservative gameplan against a seattle secondary missing 3 starters.

He clearly wasn't -- he was speaking of the ups and downs and how he couldn't handle it anymore. I think more broadly he was speaking to how there were just some crazy game enders in his term in Dallas that usually seemed to go against us -- Washington a couple of times, Pitt, the Seattle game of course.

He didn't blame nothing on Romo. I watched the interview too and he clearly was talking about the frustrations of the game and the toll it takes on him.

This story has no legs....

How about Romo not looking so sharp early on, which led to the conservative game planning?

Any supposedly effort by Parcells to blame Romo for that screwup is dumb & frankly I don't believe Parcells really said it. Romo didn't cause Glenn to screw up on an earlier play and does anybody really think our defense could have stopped the Seahawks on the next drive. Besides it brings into question why Parcells didn't perform due diligence and replace his starting QB as the holder by the backup Bledsoe or former holder Crayton. That's the achilles heal which Parcells should be forced to address but of course only a real intelligent football fan/analyst is smart enough to ask Parcells that question & wouldn't settle for his reply that Romo hadn't had a problem before or maybe there was nobody else or maybe why didn't he have the balls to ask Bledsoe whose job it should have been (or someone else on the team) to take over that job. Romo should have been on the sidelines talking with whoever was the OC about what next steps the offense should take when they get on the field. Not trying to catch a shiny football which forced the NFL to change their "shiny" football rule.

I call it like i see it. The guy also held us hostage for 3 weeks after that game. He wanted more money and an extension from jerry which was denied, meanwhile other coaches were being scooped up. Parcells has always been about one person, himself.
