4 u fans who don't get to see these players close up or just simply in plain clothes. KB is not a big guy infact he lookd like a db when he was on brady tinkers show about a month ago. I give kb credit he lookd good in his role as a nickle backer the screen snuff was sweet. I noticed most of the guys who rip kb r makin excuses 4 bocarp on other threads n if u r a true cowboy fan u would know Parcells drafted kb not jerry so blame bill 4 bocarp n kb! As far as the players getn ready on their own, how do they simulate contact? Run into the bed room dresser!

Why? I didn't get de-cleated by Jacob Hester. I don't understand why you are so angry with me. :D

Not angry at you my man, just disappointed with some of our so called fans and how they feel that their opinions are the end-all be-all that gives them the right to talk smack to our players.

I just wonder what happened to supporting our team.

The backups looked terrible across the board.

Most of the backups who will actually play looked pretty good -- Felix Jones, Miles Austin, Mike Jenkins, Anthony Spencer and Tank Johnson, in particular.

Agreed 100%. Tank was in the backfield on several occasions. Obviously he had the sack, but from my seat at QualCom, I saw him in the back field often and narrowly missed making a couple of other huge tackles for loss. He was beastly.

Jenkins also looked great as did Felix, Miles, and Choice. I am scared to say it, but I also noticed Bobby laying the wood a few times.

I can arrange for you to tell that to his face.

:laugh2:

I'll do it. What's he gonna do? Throw a punch and miss me like he missed open field tackles? Or will he just get knocked on his arse like he does against scrub RBs?

I'm serious too. KB is a *****. He ain't scaring anybody.

Don't just sit there on the sidelines -- next time, you go ahead and you post your observation. Waiting on someone else to make the play is for certain members of the Dallas Cowboy defense. You're better than that.

LOL. I have mentioned it on other threads but no bites. Either I'm on a ton of "ignore" lists or I need another bath.

KB started out well and went belly up from there.

He got worked by a rookie FB and then he got his ankles broke by the same rookie FB.

He should have been 'welcoming' that kid to the NFL, not letting the kid make a name for himself in his first preseason game.

I liked the fact that KB came out and took respsonsibility for playing poorly.

I don't like the fact that he 'corrected' his entry after watching film and trying to find some good plays to fall back on.

I really don't like that he used the guys real name, as opposed to the 'user name' the guy was using in his blog comments. The guy must have emailed him and that's where he got the guys real name from.

KB should have thicker skin IMO. Arguing with fans on his blog? That's pretty immature and maybe he's not cut out for the celebrity blogging game.

I thought he was calling the guy out in fun?? one preseason game is a little too early too judge things by.

I don't know if I'd call Tank Johnson a backup. He'll probably be starting at nose this year and/or the centerpiece of a strong rotation.

First he owns up to stinking it up then claims he rates himself a B - and says he is tougher on himself then the coaches are. What a pile of crap. NO WAY does he rate ANYTHING better then a C at best.

This is ridiculous. It was a freaking pre-season game and the first one. While Burnett was playing with the first team, he made two very good plays in that game. He forced a punt on a screen on third down. He ate it up. Moreover, he stopped the RB on the goalline. Some people have selective memories, or they don't recall how well Kevin Burnett played last year in his role in the sub-packages. He is fast linebacker, and he does a good job in coverage.

Burnett had a couple of bad plays in pre-season. Well whoop-tee-do. He had four great plays last pre-season against Denver. On one play, he flowed to his right and fought through trash and put a big hit on the running back. Bet you didn't rememeber that did you? The pre-season doesn't mean Jack.

Here is some of Kevin Burnett's work last year. He caught fire at Philadelphia last year and put some nice games together. Oh, what a concept. Dallas played in their dime defense for much of that game. He played more and produced.

Burnett's numbers in key games:

@ Eagles 7 Tackles 6 Solo 1 Assist (tied for 2nd on team)
@ NY G 12-11- 1 (1st on team)
Washing 5-4-1 (tied for 3rd)
Jets 4-3-1
Packers 5-4 (tied for 2nd)
@Wash 4-4

That is four divisional games (three on the road) and the NFC second seed.

For the year, Burnett did this:

53 Tackles 48 solo 5 Assists 1 FF

That was in a part time role. He could get 100 tackles (imo) if you played him all the time.

Burnett had 57 tackles during his first two years. He had 53 in 2007, alone. You have to play him.

You know what, if you don't like him, your going to probably be happy next year. Another team will give him a starting job and the money.

He didn't start. And if he does, then Spears is a backup and you can include him on the list of backups who played well.

I can think of ONE play Burnett made in his entire NFL career. The INT vs Indy for TD. That is it. The ONLY play. I can't think of a stop behind the line, a blindside sack, a leaping interception, a forced fumble- nothing.

I like how he says he stunk the place up (YES), then comes back and says after viewing the tape I give myself a B- an I'm harder than the coaches are on myself. If that is the case, every coach should be fired.

Kevin: That performance was atrocious. You can't hit at all, you can't rush the passer, and your coverage skills are average.

I am all for giving players alot of chances and I know he's had injuries- but I'm sorry he stinks to high heaven.

It's good to see a player "man up" when they don't perform to expectations. But come on, you can't UN"man up" after the coaches coddle you in film sessions.

You know what you did, I saw it, we all saw it. You left some plays on the field, it happens. Just accept it and use it to get better. Most of us probably realize  this is only the 1st preseason game, there's time to step it up, "Indian Giver".
