News: DMN: Cowboys needed extra security for Greg Hardy; some teammates soured on him

It just shows Garrett is weak.

Anyone think Lawrence Taylor or Charles Haley were easy to deal with?

Good head coaches find a way to connect to talent.

I'd like to be able to find an instance he has half of either of those guys talent, hey but good try

Actually, Rogah is living in his own world of reality and all knowingness and doesnt even realize that the rest of us are just laughing at him because he cant escape his own reality of delusion.

Yup, he is kind of like the Anti-Buddha.

Late to meetings, more playing time.

Dressed inappropriately on plane ride home, hell to pay.

Am I missing something?

If you can sacks QBs like Hardy, you can be late to meetings. If you look like Kate Upton, you never get speeding tickets. Life is unfair to the rest of us.

Not really.

And let us be honest, what kick butt and especially healthy talent got playing time took away?

Gregory? Who?

honestly, i thought his "distraction" this year was overblown -- by the media, who wanted him to be a distraction, so they'd have more sensational stories to sell.

even these infractions are minor.

not that i think they're great...

i prefer to look at what he offered on the field. and i won't downplay it: he contributed more than most of our d-linemen over the past few years. but i can't say that it was worth nearly 9 million bucks.

Is Hardy coming back going to upset many folks here at CZ? I'm calling it now, the deal gets done in March.

Along the way, Hardy became a constant headache for Jason Garrett. The Cowboys coach met with him at least four times to address his conduct.

Yeah, but was he on time for those meetings?

I guess Lawrence can just ditch practice, he had more sacks than Hardy!

I would have liked to see more impact like in the Patriot game but find it difficult to place all blame on Hardy. How many times did the opposing QBs ever have to hold on to the ball? Never? Every time a pass rusher got close to the QB they'd throw to the open receiver,,, which was all of them!

On an individual level, yes, but the argument of many of Hardy's detractors seems to be that his behavior disrupted team chemistry and morale, offsetting his individual contribution on the field which declined toward the end of the season.

Was the D that much better with him?

We are a bit thin at the position, though, as you pointed out.

Lol...yep.

This has been going on here since 1995. Ask our strength and conditioning coach about a certain CB in 1995 who didn't want to workout. Someone high up overrode the coaches orders and wishes.

That was the start of the sickness that haa plagued the organization for the last 20 years.

It has been different rules for special talent as long as I can remember. So people suggesting this makes Garrett weak are just ignoring the fact that pretty much every coach makes exceptions.

Comparing Hardy to schlubs like Christine Michael is ludicrous.

Fact of the matter is, for all his trouble, he really wasn't much of a factor. It seemed like he gave good effort but the results weren't any better than average at best. I am sure there will be other free agent pass rushers we can blow our load on if we must.
