I am curious what do pro bowls matter? They mean nothing to me.

Not sure what your argument is here? Has a pro bowl corner never been beaten? Is that where your going with this?

Champ vs Williams is in the Broncos favor. You cowboys fans can try to spin it whichever way you want but your the only ones in the league that think RW will have his way with Champ in the passing game or the ground game.

Interesting. I havent said roy williams will or wont have a good day.

Its you constantly declaring what will or won't happen. And they all seem to be skewed in one direction. Go figure.

Qb's have barely even thrown the ball champs direction this season. I wonder who has a better chance to go to the probowl this year. Champ or Williams?? Hmmmm

Think both will cancel each other out. Williams will dominate/block the crap outta lil' Chump but Chump will blanket Roy in pass coverage.

Champ will miss out being named to Pro Bowl and All- Pro again. Terrence Newman will make it to the Pro Bowl though. San Diego's Antonio Rogers- Cromartie, Oakland's Asoamugha Nmandi, NY Jet's Darrell Revis, and Tennessee's Courtland Finnegan will be the CB's this year. Champ is no better than the 6th best CB in the AFC. I rank Pittsburgh's Ike Taylor and NY Jet's Lito Sheppard ahead of Chump. TNew at the very least is the 4th best CB in the NFC.

Let's see you have faced Carson Palmer, Brady Quinn, and Jamarcus Russell. Except for Palmer, pretty much bottom of barrel type of Qb's.

Time will tell but I'll tell you this, I hope they do go one on one with Champ.

Champ won't follow Williams all over the field. I would bet they just keep Champ on one side of the field the whole game, so he will only see Roy when Roy is lined up on his side. Denver may also single Champ on Crayton and then double Roy. I just doubt it will be a game long battle between Champ and Williams.

According to these Denver trolls, we are going to play one of the best teams ever assembled.

A fluke tipped pass against the Bungles, and wins over Clevland and Oakland are proof of their greatness. We should not even bother making the trip fellas, seriously!!!!

IMO, Bailey was always a better zone cover then he ever was a man to man corner. I guess we will see.

Cowboys WR Williams said he appreciates Romo, but he still doesn't know his role

Cowboys No. 1 wide receiver Roy Williams said he told quarterback Tony Romo that he appreciates him after his performance in a win over Carolina on Monday night.

"We had some tough times, some tough drives and he could have went into the tank," Williams said. "If he goes into the tank, this whole offense is going into the tank. He stood in there, held his head high, even though we had all the penalties and we were punting every series it felt like. He stayed in there and led this team down the football field and I really appreciate that out of a guy like that."

Williams said it showed a great leadership quality in Romo.

"That's what I think a leader is. I could care less about guys who are rah-rah all day long," Williams said. "To me, it's like shut-up. You're getting on my nerves with all the rah-rah stuff. It's show me on the football field. He doesn't say anything. He doesn't have to say anything. All his stuff is on the football field. He is America's Team's quarterback. Whatever he does, people are going to love it or going to hate it. When we win, they love it. Nobody understands the small things that he did in the game, and that's why I told him I appreciated it."

But Williams said he's still not sure what his role is for the Cowboys.

"I do not know what my role is. I'm just trying to help this team win, whether it's catching the ball, whether it's blocking downfield, whether it's whatever. I'm just trying to win. Whatever the game is calling for at that point and time," Williams said. "My role is to, like I say, is to make plays whether it's in the run or pass game I'm guessing. I'm not like give-me-the-ball-every-play type of guy. I'm a go-with-the-flow guy because I just want to win. I was [mad] after the New York game because I had one catch. But if he would have missed that field goal, I wouldn't have been [mad] because we would have won. That's just the type of guy I am, and I hope you can understand that.

"I'm just a blocker, a catcher and runner and just trying to do all of them in 60 minutes of play. I just run to my spot and catch the ball. That's what I feel my role is right now, blocking down field or catching the ball when it comes my way. I don't get very many opportunities, but when I get the opportunities, I have to make the best of them. That's the way I approach it.

"[The receivers] don't need publicity for anything. We're not big-name guys over here. We're just the Dallas Cowboys. We have the quarterback and we have the running back. We're nothing on the outside. We're just doing our job and that's fine with us. As long as we keep racking up the wins, we're good."

GUYS you have to admit hearing this from numerous players this is disturbing.

How can Williams not know his role at Dallas after all the training and time defining and working on it? Does anyone know what he scored on the wonderlic? He does not appear to be very bright....hence some of the issues (maybe)....or he is just a whinner.

I am tired of dumb excuses. He just needs to shut up and play.

Looked it up -- he scored a 17.

I think this article is trying to make something out of nothing again, as evidenced by title. In context of entire article, the comment about "role" just basically says he doesn't have a specific title, like "deep threat", "possession receiver", or "slot guy". He THEN goes on to say that his ROLE is to be a play maker. It is poor journalism and a great example of trying to sensationalize or TOize Roy Williams. This happened to TO as well obviously, but I think TO gets baited easily and also provides his own fodder. So far I think Roy is pretty politically correct and a team player, and I appreciate him doing and saying that stuff to Romo.

I do think the coaches can communicate better and talk to these guys. I don't like the idea of coddling, but anyone can benefit from clear communciation. I don't think Roy was complaining about that either though, to be clear.

what a stupid freaking title...

he's not saying that he doesn't know his role as in "what the hell am I doing here", he's saying he doesn't fit into a certain "role" because his role is to do a little bit of whatever it takes to win.

I was thinking the same thing. Dumb title. Maybe this writer is trying to make him out to be like that "other" guy.

His role is to run good crisp routes and get open often... He still has some work to do.

Champ is one of the best run support corners in the NFL.

You know, I've never really given Bronco fans a throught before because quite frankly, the Broncos have pretty much been irrelevant to the Cowboys. However, reading the posts of you guys the past few days makes me think I have several just like you lying about in my backyard. I haven't cleaned up the dog turds in a week or two.
