Every player reacts differently...
If he talks smack and never performs, he'll get booed. If he talks smack and performs, everybody will love him.
What is the common denominator in the equation?
Performance...
will not deny that at all.
did crayton talk smack? yes.
did crayton drop a ball at a crucial time? yes.
will he naturally get some hatred/flack for that? yes.
does that one drop nullify him still being a damn good #3 for us and a decent spot #2? yes, for many it seems. no, to me.
however, some people love you till you screw up, then hate you. sometimes we're in an all or nothing world and any middle ground is tantamount to defeat, not compromise and understanding.
people go nuts over roy and make stuff up to be mad about they'll SAY they apply evenly, but has anyone cared TO missed OTA the other day? no. ellis? no.
yet in the roy thread how many people said ALL PLAYERS MUST BE THERE when what they meant was all played named ROY WILLIAMS must be there?
people exaggurate to prove their point enough to start believing in those exaggurations. backing down doesn't make them wrong on that one point it would seem, but overall. why? cause they're an all or nothing person to begin with.
crayton is a good WR and i'm glad to have him on the team.
crayton is not a "traditional" leader in the sense we have in romo, to, witten and barber.
to say "those guys are not getting it done so crayton is a good leader" is just messed up to the Nth degree. crayton was there too when it wasn't getting done. right? yet those leaders failed and crayton the wonderpony is a leader.
sometimes you just wonder why people put their logic away at the oddest of times.
