IRVING, Texas -- The Dallas Cowboys' Friday injury report had a mild surprise: outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware is listed with a wrist injury.

Ware was already on the injury report because of a stress fracture in his foot, which he's been playing with for most of the season. He apparently injured his wrist during practice this week, but the injury isn't serious.

Ware had full participation in each practice this week and is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

OT Marc Colombo (ankle/fibula) and FS Ken Hamlin (ankle) are out. Every other Cowboy is expected to be available.

DeMarcus Ware has battled a foot injury for most of the season and now he has a wrist injury that has been added to his list of woes. It shouldn't matter much. He's listed as probable for Sunday.

On to the injury report:

COWBOYS
OUT - FS Ken Hamlin (ankle), OT Marc Colombo (ankle)

PROBABLE - LB Victor Butler (knee), QB Tony Romo (back), S Gerald Sensabaugh (thumb), LB DeMarcus Ware (foot/wrist), TE Jason Witten (foot)

GIANTS
OUT - RB D.J. Ware (concussion)

QUESTIONABLE - TE Travis Beckum (groin), RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot), S Michael Johnson (groin)

PROBABLE - LB Michael Boley (back), WR Derek Hagan (hamstring), QB Eli Manning (foot)

Bradshaw took part in practice for the first time this week although he was limited. Beckum was added to the list today and was limited as well. Hagan took part in a full workout Friday after being limited Wednesday and Thursday.

Jason Witten feeling fine

Jason Witten practiced fully during the course of the week despite a sprained left foot and does not expect it to be a problem for the rest of the season or need repair whenever the season ends.

"I thought it might linger, but it feels real good," Witten said.

Witten is coming off a five-catch, 107-yard game vs. Oakland that upped his
season yard-per-catch average up to 10, but that was more of a product of the Raiders' scheme than a change in offensive philosophy.

In 14 games against the New York Giants, Witten has 54 receptions for 665 yards and five touchdowns, including his only score this season.

"They mix it," Witten said of the Giants' defense. They have that system that's the same as Philly's where they blitz a lot and come with pressure. They have a good front four that allow them to play more coverage because they can get to the quarterback without rushing nearly as many guys."

Already playing with a stress fracture in his foot, DeMarcus Ware has a small wrist fracture but it will not keep him out of Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Ware was already on the weekly injury report with the foot injury but the wrist was added today. He is listed as probable. Ware had X-rays today that revealed the fracture.

Ware has not missed a game in his career (75 straight) and it does not appear he will miss Sunday's game either.

Gonna take a lot more than a fractured wrist to keep D-Ware from making this playoff run with us.

Put a cast on it, and use it like a club.

Wasn't Columbo put on IR? Are they expecting him back this year?

Broken fib is a 6-8 week injury if you're lucky. T.O. coming back in a month was crazy and wont' happen again, a guy like Colombo that heavily depends on his feet might be ready if we make it to the NFCCG or the Super Bowl.

That doesn't really make sense.

Pretty obvious joke. March is to Caesar as December is to the Cowboys.

This is the tradeoff you get when you have physical practices that fans and media scream for. But seems like its a chip and not a major injury. Doesn't sound like something that will get injured further either. It might be painful at times, which might be an issue during run D etc.

Jimmy had the guys from the dynasty in pads as often as he could. I know guys are bigger, faster, and stronger now so I stand on Wade's side when it comes to having softer practices down the stretch. We've got 5 games that are going to be hard hitting smash mouth football. I want these guys as fresh as they can be for the playoffs, especially if we're going to be travelling for most of it.

Yet Jimmy did not expose key players. I was attending the training camps Jimmy held in Austin and guys like Irvin and Emmitt along with many other key starters were not subjected to all out hitting. You don't replace guys like Emmitt or Irvin that easy and sure as heck can't afford to lose them during a practice.

the Ides refers to the 15th of the month.
