Only for 4 months (March, May, July, October). Every other month it would be the 13th, according to the Roman Calendar.

Edit: Ok, only beaten by like 2 pages. :(

Hey man, 4 years of Latin in high school and I still can't speak or read the language very well. I'm just glad I got something out of it. Other than this occasional usage of arcane knowledge, learning how to say "slave girl", "dancing girls" and using the word "cum" were the highlights of my Latin education.

Wow, they are putting Ware at risk by not having enough depth at OLB, he's playing too many snaps...

:bang2:

Well lets just all go around saying meaningless crap and sounding uneducated then.

You'd better not, that's my schtick... I'll sue you for trademark infringement...

I have retained the firm of Dewey, Cheatham and Howe for just such situations...

Not that I've ever seen. I know it as the 15th of the month (or the 13th), and I've never before seen the word itself used as a synonym for doom. A quick Google search turns up no uses of the word or phrase in the context you suggest.

Caesar was warned to "beware the Ides of March" (according to Shakespeare), then was murdered on that date, thus the association of that date to doom...

Don't believe me?? Then consider this from the National Geographic website:

Thanks to the Bard, the bloody events of 44 B.C. forever linked March 15—also called the Ides of March—with fulfilled prophecies of doom.

Maybe your mistake was using Google instead of Yahoo... :D

I've got your back on this one, bb... I knew what you meant...

December 13th is the Ides of December. They play the Chargers that day.

So, are we doomed, or the Chargers??
