I get why players don't come out and say it was about the money. It puts a bad taste in the mouth of fans who want to believe their beloved team is special. Fans want the game to be about loyalty and RKGs and love of city. But it's almost always about the money.
Meh, Carr was a good Cowboy. He wasnt great but he was solid for the most part and dependable. It sounds to me like he is trying to sound excited and paint a positive picture in playing for Baltimore. Obviously money talks but I think its fairly clear hed rather have been paid in Dallas, again.
For all of us yearning for that big free agent more often than not Carr's game is more in line with what you get in FA. I suppose thats the problem (often times) when you pay for past production. Dont get me wrong Id be ecstatic to get a stud in FA.
Deion Sanders once said after he refused to make a tackle in a game: "It was a business decission".
He was demolished by the public and fans for this comment. And i believe alot of Cowboys fans still love to hate him because of that comment too.
So i understand your wish. But its also the public that doesnt accept the truth.
We want to have heros. Especially in football - a very scarcifying AND a team sport - we dont want people who handle this sport as a business also and act selfish.
But the truth is: Still those people have moral and character. They just priorize them better.
not his guys fault that Dallas gave him top dollar...I always liked him...also not his fault that there has never been a pass rush while he was here, so he had to cover longer....good business decision on both sides
