Peoples favorite team is usually the one that pays them the most $$$ then they come out of the closet about how they been big fans.
Very true and he was no big loss...but the money thing works both ways. Don't think the Cowboys wanted to re-sign him anyway. It was about the money...
I wish the thing in his mind and heart for the Ravens would have spoken louder about $50M ago."It's true, I grew up a Cowboys fan. It was a dream come true to play for the Cowboys, defend the star for five years," Carr told BaltimoreRavens.com, "but you know, I've always had a thing in my mind, in my heart for the Ravens.

The tradition here, the defense, the dominance, just the mentality. So I'm just blessed and honored just to be in this position."
Oooh yeah
Did we expect him to say anything different?Former Dallas cornerback Brandon Carr grew up a Cowboys fan, but the Baltimore Ravens -- his new team -- have long had a place in his heart as well, he recently revealed.
And that's just part of why he left the Cowboys in free agency to sign a deal with the Ravens that could go up to four years.
"It's true, I grew up a Cowboys fan.
Carr is part of an offseason makeover for a Baltimore secondary that endured multiple injuries at the cornerback position in recent seasons. In addition to Carr, the Ravens signed the top safety on the market in Tony Jefferson. That pair will figure into a unit that already features standout veterans at corner in Jimmy Smith and at safety in Eric Weddle.
The idea of playing alongside those players was alluring to Carr.
"That's pretty much, like, the deciding factor," Carr said. "Nobody (was) in my ear, but just, you know, I've seen guys -- the last four years with Jefferson and Weddle, the last, what, 10-11, however many years he's played in the NFL, so I just know the type of guys you want to be around. Guys who, you watch on film, are always vocal and giving commands and out there just playing with tremendous skill, and that's just something that, mixed in with just the appreciation for defense around here, I felt like it was a good fit to come out here and get some good chemistry fast and produce as much as we can."
Carr has started all 144 regular-season games of his career -- including during the four seasons he spent in Kansas City -- which is something Baltimore clearly took note of. He has 15 interceptions, seven with the Cowboys, though just one over the last three seasons. He agreed to a pay cut last offseason amid criticism that he hadn't lived up to the five year, $50.1 million deal signed in 2012. That also marks the last time the Cowboys went all-out on a big free-agency maneuver.
But he is coming off a strong 2016, when he led Cowboys cornerbacks with 47 solo tackles and followed the opponents' top receivers at times.
"[We are getting] one of the most solid, dependable corners in football," Ravens coach John Harbaugh said of Carr.
