Wish he could've won a ring here. Nonetheless, he's a great guy and will be in the ring of honor.

it would have been awesome to watch ware, witten and romo win a championship together. all great players who fought through terrible upper management decisions.

I was never a big Ware fan. He was part of teams that always collapsed.

Future HOF with nothing left to prove, i hope he retires so he can enjoy his post NFL life. Ware & Wade were the only reason i was happy for the Broncos winning the SB
Me too. I was happy for both of them.

I wonder if he would entertain a vet minimum deal to return to Dallas be a pass rush specialist?

there comes a time you just need to let go of these "names" and realize what you remember isn't what you'd get.

Exactly! And this team is already dealing with too many players with back issues as it is. No need to add any more question marks.

He's had a Hall of Fame career and I made happy that he got his ring. He's made more than enough money. Time to call it a career and enjoy your family and the spoils of your hard work.

Sixth most of all time is impressive. I think he signs a one year low ball with the Pats and probably doesn't finish the season.

I was also happy knowing that Eli wouldn't have more Super Bowl wins than his more talented brother.

I was not happy about that at all. Eli is at least known as a nice guy. Peyton is a giant dbag, blows my mind he pulled off being a jerk and it's ignored.

Same people then go off on Cam Newton for ridiculous reasons.

Back issues needing surgery are major obstacle to playing the grind of NFL football. This is what concerns me about our guys with back issues. A bulging disk is where a lot of these back injuries that creep on you begin then snowballs from there. D Ware went from SP MVP IMO to needing surgery in less than a year.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) -- DeMarcus Ware needs season-ending back surgery that could spell the end of his NFL career.
The Denver Broncos placed Ware on injured reserve Wednesday along with cornerback Kayvon Webster, who sustained a concussion last weekend at Kansas City.

The Broncos (8-7) elevated nose tackle Kyle Peko and cornerback Taurean Nixon from the practice squad to take their places on the roster for the season finale against the Raiders (12-3).

Ware took a big pay cut to return to the Broncos after winning his first Super Bowl ring, but he missed almost all of the offseason with back troubles. He broke his left forearm Sept. 18.

The 12-year veteran had four sacks in 10 games, giving him 138½ for his career, sixth best all-time.
