I don't expect you to understand. In a sport that literally any play can cause an injury, playing and coaching scared is foolish. Resting players don't give you protection against injuries. For example Romo could get hurt during the first snap of the playoff game.

This. Well said.

I believe that is for the number one seed. We have an outside shot at the 2 seed albeit small.

You know this is not right. You have been explained the situation several times, but still keep acting like they need to win.

FACT: The ONLY scenarios where a win would matter is if another game ends in a tie.

I see you're throwing out the clichés in every post. If Romo gets hurt during the playoff game it will be in the process of trying to win a playoff game. By your logic he should play pickup basketball today because it can happen anytime. This Commanders game means as much

It's not well said. Any play can result in injury, so there is no good reason to increase the odds of an injury by playing more plays!
We should wrap our starters in bubblewrap and put "do not" tackle signs on them while we're at it. Matter of fact the team shouldn't workout or practice until after the playoffs because we don't want to expose them to injury. I wonder if Jerry can find 22 mansized bubbles? That'll truly keep them safe..

What part of Romo is still not fully healed and has literally broken his back the last two games against the Skins and needs time between games and our playoff game may be Saturday and Murray has a broken hand doesn't Garrett get?

There aren't any meaningless regular season games. See Giants super bowl run circa the cheatriots undefeated season. Scared money makes none.

Unless there's a tie, the game is meaningless. Sorry if you're unable to see that. It's smart to not play Romo and others, not scared.

A warrior's mentality doesn't require conventional thinking. It requires a belief that's so intrenched that it baffles all that's not a part of it. Conventional thinking had this team winning 1 to 8 games this year. I'm rolling with the wefense and warriors.

I hear ya, but you can't coach scared. Romo's been hurt all year. He's needed a pain killer 30 minutes before each game. Do you think we should have sat him all year? If so, no playoffs this year for us.

You're getting sillier with the hyperbole with every post. No one is saying the players in the Washington game shouldn't give 100 percent. But key players who we cannot win in the playoffs without are playing through injuries. Garrett's stated reason for playing Romo is to get a bye but winning this game affects that about one tenth of one percent. We earned bye THIS week by clobbering Indy

Don't discount the revenge factor here folks. Don't discount the competitor in Romo here folks. Jim Hasslett has had Romo's number.....and I would not doubt that Romo wants to let Haslett and the rest of the Commanders staff/team know that they are not on his level.

Huh? Those games got us in the playoffs. This game won't. Everything was done all year for the playoffs not to beat Washington in a meaningless week 17 game.

if romo gets injured vs the Commanders and we go in with weeden as qb everyone will be calling for JG head.

These arguments useless same could be said the 1st snap of the playoff game. This is a young team, with an old QB that needs to follow a routine. Plus you CANNOT sit all your starters it is feasibly impossible. But for this game I would make Vaughan the 2nd string QB.

Yes the herniated disc freak injury could have happened anytime. The transverse process as much Romo's fault as it was the Commander's fault.

I wish everyone would get that our game has no bearing on our seeding in regards to the Seattle and Arizona games. None.

The coach doesn't even get it. His rationale is because we have an astronomical chance of getting a better seed? Like 1 in a million we get the #1 seed? He is STILL learning on the job.
I HATE that our starters will be out there playing when there isn't a logical reason
for it.

No it wouldn't. Sitting Romo in a playoff game to avoid injury makes no sense. Sitting him in a meaningless game to prepare him for the playoffs does.

By the way, Romo is ALREADY injured. No one is trying to avoid one we are trying to manage one
