News: DMN: Jason Hatcher: Washington fans hate Dallas more than Cowboys fans hate Washington

Despised the Commanders as a kid in the early 80's....I was annoyed by the Eagles, Giants and Cardinals (I'll never forget Stump Mitchell)

IRVING – Washington defensive end Jason Hatcher is well aware of his former team’s 6-1 start.

“Yeah, it’s all over the place,” Hatcher said during a Thursday conference call. “America’s Team, right?”

Hatcher, who spent the previous eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, will face his old teammates on Monday night.

There is nothing I would love more, than for the Dallas fans to start chanting "Not Our Rival" while the Cowboys are dominating on the field. For those that do not know, it is what Duke fans use to chant when they played Maryland, which infuriated Maryland fans. Please, for everyone at the game, start this chant, it will make those of us that live in the DC/MD area very happy.

Duke fans were just mad that we were never intimidated by them nor looked up to them. But we did love beating them!

There is NO deadskin fan that hates the Cowboys more then I hate the deadskins!

You & me both. And its only because of living there and hearing that nonsense 365/24/7. Their obsession with the Cowboys is what fuels my hate for all things Skins.

Over the decades the hate has shifted between the 3 depending usually on who was having the most success. But I have settled in on the Eagles for awhile now. I cant stand the Giants owner the most of all the owners though, thats been a constant.

Likely. There are some players who do it for the love of the game and love winning, though. But I don't think that Hatcher is one of those guys.

I wouldn't say that Hatcher doesn't want to win, but he does want to get paid and he should. The NFL is an unforgiving league and if you have the chance to cash in, you'd better take it, I don't blame Hatcher, I'd do the same thing if the opportunity presented itself.

I agree, it is a short career you have to make the most of your opportunities.
