Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden (20) catches a pass during morning practice at training camp on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2015, in Oxnard, Calif. (Smiley N. Pool/The Dallas Morning News)

OXNARD, Calif. – For the first time this training camp, Darren McFadden participated in team drills during Monday’s practice with the St. Louis Rams.

McFadden, who has been working back from a strained hamstring, specifically looked good during one-on-one receiving drills against Rams linebackers.

“McFadden hit that thing for the first time up in there and showed some real stuff, and he sure showed some real burst in a couple of drills where they weren’t just full tackling,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told the G-Bag Nation show Tuesday morning on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM]. “Boy, if we can keep him out there, he’ll tear their you know what up.”

The Cowboys signed McFadden, 27, in March after playing the previous seven seasons in Oakland. Last year was the first time he played an entire 16-game season, totaling 534 rushing yards, 212 receiving and two touchdowns.

Pig-Sooey, Jerry!

If you hurry, you can go get Felix and Hillis in here and put 2006 back together again!

When last season was the first time you played a full season and you ended with 500 yards or 33 yards per game then you know there is reasons to doubt.
I can play a full season sitting on the bench.

Good thing he is going to be a part time change of pace back.

That's what I was thinking too. But he's been injured since dallas signed him so I lost hope in him.

Exactly, that is one big IF......I'm sure Oakland was hoping for that during his stay there. In the famous words made popular by Dandy Don, "If IFS, and BUTS were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas."

....and IF I can get all 6 numbers right, I can win the TX lottery.

if and if and if and if if dez had caught the ball in green bay last year may have ended differently and if Murray hadn't fumbled

With all these "Ifs" , I am going to recommend we use the Switch statement, for readablilty benefits alone!

switch(expression) {
case a:
DoSomething();
break;
case b:
DoSomethingElse();
break;
default:
HandleGeneralCase();
break;
}

Well remember last season was the first time Murray had stayed healthy himself
Just saying
I have no doubt Dmac can be effective if he can stay healthy but the odds of him getting hurt are really no more than most any other player

I think it's pretty clear why they continue to stick with McFragile.

:rolleyes:
