Plenty of other unknowns, including what Goodell rules, if Brent remains a Cowboy, etc.

He doesn't deserve the chance.....

How unfortunate for his career. Hopefully the lesson is learned this time around and nobody else has to have their life put at risk because of his selfish shenanigans.

Could it be Valley Ranch is moving first in hopes Goodell and the judge in his upcoming trial will allow him to play in 2014?

Can't believe the Cowboys even allowed him onto the field. Disgraceful.

It was such a disappointing decision to let him on the field. I really dont understand the logic of our front office on a lot of levels.

I don't think the front office or Garrett knew about it. Some players thought it was a good idea and brought him onto the field.

Jason Garrett didn't know that Josh Brent the guy who made national headlines about killing a teammate was on the sideline? Pretty difficult to imagine.

This.

To think otherwise would be crazy.

A lot of people don't have Jerry Brown's family's interests in mind when it comes to Josh Brent.

This isn't meant to sound cruel, but the Brown family, as well meaning as their stance was concerning Brent, shouldn't have been allowed to influence the organization's decision about his role going forward. Whether the top guys knew it or not, Brent shouldn't have been on the sidelines that day. His irresponsible and selfish act caused another person to die. I've felt this pain personally, and I don't apologize for my thinking on this subject.

It's a shame. I thought Josh Brent was putting it together too. To me, he showed signs of being a future starter.

Their wishes for the organization to continue to support Brent could have been born in other avenues. Parading him on the sideline was just in very poor taste by the Cowboys.

After watching Goorich, it is obvious Jerry Jones and Co. are oblivious to any reality outside fiction.

This bleeds over into all things football related.

You would think the first reaction out of the Cowboys front office would be to cut Brent and make an example out of him. Instead their reaction is, "When can he play again?". The next month another player gets involved in the same kind of incident who you have the opportunity to show that the character of the Cowboys shouldn't be questioned and again they put football above the morality of what he did. Just classless.

Donte Stallworth? Yeah, this league is a joke. Glad the decline is happening more rapid than I thought it would.

Yeah because brown didn't know Brent was drunk.

Also Brent put a gun to his head and told him to hop in.

He also was not drinking himself.

So go against Brown's families wishes and not allow him on the field? Isn't that just as careless and unconcerning?
