Of course Red is going nowhere, I fully expect him to be the head coach for many more seasons.
However, lets not pretend that he is doing some fantastic job here. Other than the Bengals and Marvin Lewis, I cannot think of too many teams in the NFL that would keep a head coach that posted more than 8 wins over their first 6 seasons as head coach. There have been many other coaches that have been hired and turned programs around much faster and with much better results than Garrett has. That is not taking a shot at Garrett or dogging him or anything, that is just simply stating facts.
Now you can list all the excuses as to why Garrett has not had more success, but at the end of the day he is the head coach and he is responsible for the performance of his team. Now you can say the players don't make enough plays, but at some point over 6 years the head coach is responsible for the players on the field. If the players suck, its on Garrett to get new players and when the new players turn out to suck (see Brandon Weedon), then the head coach is responsible for that as well.
I guess my entire point is that Jason Garrett is responsible for the performance of his team and in professional sports that is usually indicated in the wins and losses column, especially your 6th year on the job.
