When Williams turned down those other teams, he's also turning down a chance to qualify for the NFL PA pension program.

I hope Ryan gets a shot to start some games, he did look good in PS last year, and if his knee is healed up good,
he could be the guy.
He will give it 100% if they made him starter.
I think Randle has too big of a ego and would be a diva
McF seems laid back and like it is just another job, so not sure how motivated he is.
He talked like he would be happy as a # 2.

I been critical of this guy for a while now but after reading this I really hope that this kid makes the team and plays well this year.

I did too but I don't hate him anymore after reading the story and watching that video. I feel his passion and the genuine place where it originates. I'm rooting for him now.

He's still not DeMarco but I think I'm moving past that now. DeMarco isn't coming back and he chose to go to the worst possible place. Good luck to him in the depths of hell AKA filthy. I wish he and the team could have met somewhere in the middle but that's all history now. In the present, I look forward to seeing what Ryan can bring to the mix. I'm not impressed with DMC or Randle and still maintain hopes that we become that innocent 3rd party benefactor from the newly developed fault line that now exists between AD/AP and Minnesota.

I never really hated him, but I can't say that I believe any of the backs we have will succeed based on their NFL careers so far. I hope that they will, but I just see no reason to build up false expectations.

False expectations is believing a player who has never been healthy or succeeded will suddenly do it because he's now a Cowboy. It can happen, but the evidence isn't there to support.

The reasons I said what I did in my previous post is because some take that to mean you don't believe Murray can be replaced. I certainly believe he's replaceable, I just don't know if we've done what's necessary to replace a player who has been very good throughout his four years when healthy.

We're rooting for players who have a whole bunch to prove to show that they can.

"Murray told everyone in the press conference he went to Philly because it was his best chance to win a Super Bowl."
I really think he meant philly was best chance as opposed to Jags and Oakland.
and he didnt say super bowl he said championships.
he was just trying to say something positive to the philly fans, not insult dallas.

you are smarter than 95% of the folks on this forum who got butthurt about that quote.

Well, when the Cowboys drafted him he told Garrett on the phone that he would do all he could to help the Cowboys win the National Championship.

He's not Murray, but he does stuff Murray can't do either.

No doubt but at the college level. It remains to be seen whether or not that translates to the pros coming off a major knee injury. I hope it does.

I think he sees the field a hell of a lot better than Murray, which translates everywhere. But ya never know. I'm pulling hard for the guy.

I'm of a mind that all of our RBs will prove well suited for a RB-by-committee approach. All of them have proven effective in their own right and all of them seem best utilized somewhat sparingly to glean the most from them. If used properly and not necessarily physically punished to excess, they should conceivably sustain the action. They will all be obliged to prove it as the season progresses, of course. Hopefully, every one will be utilized judiciously.
