Do not be surprised if the free agent RB we sign is McFadden

I haven't seen any talent from him even when he is healthy. If we sign McFadden it must be a Ryan Williams type deal. There's no way they go into free agency and say "McFadden is what we need to replace Demarco with". Raiders have been known to ruin careers though. A Change of scenery may do him well i'm just to sure if its here.

That would be a waste of money, he cant stay healthy and isnt any better then the guys Dallas already has.

Is there any basis to this idea other than "Jerry loves Razorbacks?" (serious question)

IM willing to bet any of you who actually believe Dallas is going to sign a FA RB rather then draft one some money. You pick the amount.

The only RB Dallas would sign is Murray on the deal they offered.

Funny how most of the people who think JJ should let Murray walk, because anyone can run behind this line, get up in arms if Murray's replacement is a 2mil. platoon back that we will likely get. Randle and Dunbar are what they are, change of pace backs. I don't think they would do anything in short yardage situations and I don't trust either or any rookie we draft to pick up blocks for Romo. I have no idea what Williams can do but if he could help us I think he would have seen the field at least once last season.

Clint Stoerner, Felix Jones, Tom Crowder, Jermaine Brooks, Tony Bua, Ken Hamlin. Only 1 was drafted by him.

Translation...I will be beyond surprised if we sign McFadden who has been a colossal bust IMO, and I was firmly on his bandwagon at that Draft.

Me too hos. I thought he would make asplash in the league. Instead, he drowned

How many times do we have to here about jerry Jones and former razorbacks? Its like every time its brought up, that person thinks they're the ones just deiscovered the connection. Its not true that jerry goes after razorbacks.

I hope somebody slaps the phone out of Jerry's hand if he tries to sign any more injury prone players, we reached our quota a long time ago.

If they brought him in instead of Dunbar, sure, why not.

I wouldn't have a problem signing guys like him to minimum contracts just to kick the tires. But he's a longshot to do anything. His numbers have been pretty horrible the last three seasons.

Darren McFadden. Former Razorback who Jerry loves. Yes, extremely injury prone, but talented and could thrive as a 10-15 carry back in a platoon with Randle behind a great OL the first time in his career. Also, a good pass catcher. I'm not advocating this, but he would be a cheap replacement for Murray and might bridge the gap to a rookie RB we draft.

Ya know, I don't hate this idea. In fact, it's brilliant if he comes cheap. Dude has been a humongous letdown, but has shown serious ability at times. A move like this is what the Pats do often that make/keep them a championship level team. Behind this o-line, McFadden could (perhaps easily) outperform Murray. That's assuming he hasn't been crippled by some injury (don't know; I'm not up to date on the status of Darren McFadden).

The OP is BS. You're throwing crap against the wall at this point. Jerry's (and anyone else') love fest with this guy ended after about his third year in the league. God I hate the off-season. He's fragile and undproductive. Yes, That's exactly what Jerry is looking for to replace Murray. SMH.

And we're only ONE week into our off season. :banghead: Gonna be a long one.

Id quit believing we have a new and improved Jerry or system or whatever is going on here and go back to seeing this as having the same ole crap that got us to 18 years of futility. Bad bad move.

This would be the type of move Jerry would have approved before he won Exec of the year......

Don't see it happening.....And pray it doesn't

seems very obvious to me ,these college guys are plug in and play plus we got 3 the RBs to lessen the burden on the rookie.it doesnt make any sense wasting valuble cap money on FA RB not named Murray.

He was horrific the one year Oakland decided to have him run behind a zone scheme.

No. And no again.

Really couldn't be more against this. I don't see how this helps win us a championship.
