I completely agree. Let’s let Dak walk and roll with Trey. If Trey is destined to be a washout or bust then we will tank by default and then draft someone. If Trey turns out to be the next Kurt Warner rags to riches story then great. Dak has capped out and his financial demands in the extension could cripple us.

Some of you were just waiting on Dak to throw an int or have a fumble. You absolutely couldn't wait. No one said how Parsons and defense were slashed in the run game. You only come with HYPOTHETICALS of if it was this QB or that QB he would have scored. And what's facts are.....you don't know that. And what are facts are, Dak lead the league in interceptions LAST YEAR yet he's still has one of the lowest interception rates in the league. AND he's one of the top QBs statistically in the league since arriving. Some of you will say....we haven't won a Superbowl or to the NFC Championship game...well there are a lot of QBs that haven't that were good...ie. Dan Marino, who haven't won a Superbowl. OR, not so good QBs, ie Trent Dilfer that has won a Superbowl. Know your stats and know what you're talking about. Or better yet, you can switch to another team until they get the QB of your liking.

I’m not defending Dak cuz I don’t want him extended but just calling it like I see it. Not only did that play call suck but the effort of the WRs in general was horrible. There was the 4th down play in the RZ that we didn’t convert and Gallup is clearly just jogging with no effort. Dak didn’t play great but he had no help either. The Arizona game is not why I don’t want to extend Dak. It’s Dak has hit his ceiling and I’d rather roll with someone who has a higher ceiling and is cheaper.

But back to your point. The lack of effort and the playcalling is on Mike. The poor discipline on both sides of the ball and STs is on Mike. Total team fail.

Yeah, I think we would really have to start struggling in the regular season and then he does bad in the playoffs. I can see 2 possibilities 1. We don’t make the playoffs and it’s largely due to Dak’s turnovers or play. 2. We make the playoffs and Dak just falls on his face.

Best possible scenario is Dak balls out and we make a run. That’s what I am hoping for.

2nd best scenario is Dak plays so poorly that it pops Jerry’s delusional bubble that Dak is elite and he doesn’t resign him.

Worst case scenario is Dak plays good to great against weak teams then poorly against contenders and then we make the playoffs and get bounced early. Then Jerry resigns him and he continues this trend.

If I had my way I’d want scenario #1 we’re Dak leaves no QB doubt and we are contenders and make a run. The 2nd scenario would be a good “consolation prize” but I’m not hoping for it because that would mean this season will be wasted. What I 100% don’t want is the 3rd scenario. I feel the 3rd scenario would kill our franchise for the next 3-5 years.
