Dan Marino did take the Dolphins to the Superbowl which is more than Dak. Just saying.
Did you read it? I said WON. Geesh! We have to get past basic fundamentals first. Did you know it took Drew Brees 9 years to win a Superbowl? Not saying Dak will win won but my point is...it's not on the QB. And another point is....Trent Dilfer was QB and won a Superbowl. Trent Dilfer can't touch Dak as a QB. But it's about team. A lot of you won't realize how good Dak is until he's gone and we got a QB that really sucks.

But a great QB wins that game. He took away any chance of that with his int late.
people forget that if they had got a td there, it would mean they had about 1.42 to stop cards, get ball back, and then score another TD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FG's wouldnt help.
If the pass had been inc they would have had to go on 4th to try again.
They waited too late to start playing, and it seemed ariz at that point was playing bend dont break. Let dallas move to goal to go and then stop them.

Also dak threw a late pass, it was int, and that is on him but that play call stunk, no innovation all focus was on going to that one guy, no rpo, no shovel pass,
just a vanilla play by mike. So at least half of it is on mike.

I did read it and I’m just saying at least he got them there. He’s a better qb than Dak.

To me the thing that makes extending Dak tricky is Parsons future contract.

He’s gonna be the highest paid defensive player in history. Can’t also extend your QB to a massive deal without severely having to cut corners in other avenues. Obviously, if Dak was a top QB ala Mahomes, Burrow, Allen you don’t think twice. But man, I just don’t think it’s a smart thing to do to invest that type of coin into two players when one won’t be worth it.
Well said. Do not give Dak more money.

dilfer didnt make mistakes like throwing that pass into coverage. people make fun of dilfer, but he won the SB, and next season they got a "better" qb
and didnt even make it back to the SB , same thing for 10 years following firing dilfer.

Dan Marino is a great QB. I'm not saying Dak is better. You're missing the point or you don't want to admit the point.

How do you know? Did he throw ints? I didn't go look and I'll bet you a years salary he did. EVERY SINGLE QB has thrown into coverage. Lol...this is the kind of stuff I'm talking about.

the only way a bus driver can win a SB (and brady was one his first SB) is to not make mistakes at key points in big games.
Thats how they win, good defense, and dont give the other team anything by way of turnovers.
That SB is probably on youtube lets watch it and find out how he played.
or you can look at stats, but really you need to see the game.

He didn’t have an int. He threw for 153 yards. He had a rating of 80.9

You tell me ONE QB that didn't make a mistake in a big game. ONE.

If Dak did that...you guys would find something else to complain about. Dak can't win no matter what he does. Dilfer was 12 of 25....lol. Mostly screens and quick outs. Let that be Dak.....this board would be in an uproar. QBs throw picks...even in big games....ALL of them. They recover. Some of you try to hold Dak to a different standard. You can't have it both ways.

It’s very apparent that Jerry likes “the ten year plan”

Let's say you have a car that's a real POS. Do you stick with this car out of fear the next one you get might be another POS? Nope... So why stick with a QB everyone knows isn't going to be able to get the job done?

Marino is better than Dak? You don't say..... It's like choosing between a peanut butter or a poop sandwich, with Marino being the peanut butter.

I’m not defending Dak cuz I don’t want him extended but just calling it like I see it. Not only did that play call suck but the effort of the WRs in general was horrible. There was the 4th down play in the RZ that we didn’t convert and Gallup is clearly just jogging with no effort. Dak didn’t play great but he had no help either. The Arizona game is not why I don’t want to extend Dak. It’s Dak has hit his ceiling and I’d rather roll with someone who has a higher ceiling and is cheaper.

But back to your point. The lack of effort and the playcalling is on Mike. The poor discipline on both sides of the ball and STs is on Mike. Total team fail.
