Do the Cowboys even have a plan?

Their plan has typically been what ever went wrong the previous season.

So that was coaching last year and they don’t feel compelled to adjust the roster much because that wasn’t the problem last year.

Also very methodical about fixing previous problems vs having a vision for the future.

Plan should continue to be replace and fill positions of need prior to draft with either depth or starting caliber players. Allowing the team to draft best available players regardless of position.

Needs going into FA where:

DT - Filled with McCoy Signing, and possible Irving return. Lost Collins.
DE - Lost Quinn but gained Gregory. Another end could be signed
CB - Lost Jones, need starter replacement
S- Lost Heath, resigned Thompson. Need starter here.
WR- Lost Cobb, need replacement at #3
TE- Lost Witten, resigned Jarwin. Need vet TE
LB- Resigned Lee. Need replacement for Thomas.
QB - Tagged Prescott. Released Rush. Need vet backup

If they can add pieces in these areas prior to draft we can focus on best available players in draft. QB, RB, Offensive line, Fullback, are set. No needs at those positions. Focus on D mostly. The draft is heavy this year on CB, WR and LB that can make an impact. They will keep this in mind when signing players prior to draft.
