Do the Rams crash and burn for several years now?

They'll be just fine and competing again next year.

They know what they're doing, unlike our organization.
I wouldn't be too sure about that. Kupp will remain a centerpiece next season, but there will be changes to the roster when the new league year & FA begin in March & after the NFL draft in April.

Will Aaron Donald will return for a 9th season? McVay is thinking about some time off wanting to work in a booth. I doubt this team will even go deep in the playoffs. They had a Cinderella season. And those type of seasons, NEVER repeat!

Without a first round pick for a few years and the loss of OBJ and some other players they may not be able to keep, it’s going to take a season or two for them to fall off unless they hit on some of their other draft picks. They also may be able to make some trades and get back a first round pick or two. They could pay dearly for this championship down the road but they went all in for this season and got what they wanted.

Why would they? Most of their key players arent going anywhere for the next couple of years.

Assuming Aaron Donald and McVay return, there is no reason they cannot remain competitive. They can restructure contracts and leverage future cap space (of which they have plenty) to both retain and attract talent in the free agency market. Robert Woods should return to supplement their WR pool.

Now, they aren't particularly deep at skill positions, but any team has attrition fears. Like someone else said, their OL is aging out and leaving so that's a concern, but not insurmountable.

The Rams proved that there was a market over-value of draft picks to manage cap space. They decided better to use premium draft picks to procure PROVEN players and pay the cap premium than to risk busts/duds. I think they'll be similarly competitive as they have been the last few years, but they wouldn't be my first bet to win. I don't think they are a juggernaut.

They did this a few years back and got to the SB and lost. They won it now. Who cares if they have to take a year or 2 off from competing in ANOTHER SB.

But hey we are building solely through the draft and paying top dollar for retain those players to compete for middle of the pack.
they had a lot of the players through draft, goff, donald, kupp, higbee and few others.....some through FA as most teams do.

this time around, they traded for Stafford (not FA) and they got lucky with Miller and OBJ after they were cut.

They have to find a replacement for Whitworth. Otherwise, they’ll be fine if healthy.

They probably won't get back to the SB, but they won't devolve into the smoldering dumpster fire that the Cowboys are currently.

The Rams will be competitive for a SB for at least the next couple of years. Then they might fall off a cliff.

If they win another one next season, will it have all been worth it? Was it worth it for even one?

Yep.

Brady is gone. Rodgers might be gone. How many talented teams are left in the NFC? Forget elite, a lot of these NFC teams don't even have decent quarterbacks. The Rams should be in the mix at the very least.

Yes. Word is the HC may retire because he doesn't want to be around for the crash and burn.

The Rams wheeled and dealed to get players that can win the Super Bowl right away, and that worked. However, did that mortgage their future in a way that makes them crash and burn? Will they be hamstrung for a while?
The Rams will always be a contender. They were beating the Cowboys without Von Miller, Beckham, Stafford.

As long as they have Stafford, Kupp, and Aaron Donald, I think they will be ok.
