Do we expect Dak to flounder with a tougher schedule?

Fibonacci says what goes up must come down and vice versa. The question is how far will he come down? I think he comes back down to earth, but it's a controlled landing and then he continues back on an upward trend. If I were a stock trader, I would buy on his first dip.

Fiber McGee also said every number in it is the sum of the two preceding ones.
So how do we divinate that?

We're not the Patriots, we don't have their system, we don't have their genius coaching staff. Also, Brady takes his shots down field, except his don't go to a wideout they go to a physical freak at TE.
Everyone is making the Bengals out to be monster, I don't see it. If Mr non excitement Romo was playing,I would agree with you about not being the Patriots. But he is not playing and the rookies are generating excitement throughout the team. We'll find out Sunday but I think that Dak dinks and dunks and Zeke keeps the chains moving to 4-1.

I don't think he's going to flounder. He appears to have a good head on his shoulders and a great grasp of what he's doing.

But I do expect he'll likely struggle more against the better teams than he has so far.

But I doubt he's going to flounder or just stink it up horribly.

However, it would be generally acccepted that any team that beat the Cowboys now would have beaten a good team.

Because that is what they are.

At this point, I think it's fair to say that. But I personally won't feel confident doing so until I see what happens over the next 3 weeks.

!??! Green Bay will be infinitely tougher, especially in Green Bay. They've got a top ranked rush defense and an offense that will definitely put up points. It would be nice to have Romo for this game but I'm hopeful that our run game will win the battle with a few Dak runs for good measure. (and a secret hope that the return of DLaw will somehow be a tipping point for our defense)

Green Bay will be vulnerable to our running game. Their rushing defense will say uncle against us.

I agree that we need to make throws down the field. Otherwise the better teams we've got coming up can sit back a little and contain us to short passes and running the ball. If we don't take shots downfield, their safeties will have no incentive to play back. I like what Dak is doing, but you can't beat good teams in the NFL unless you can put a little fear in them.

You did say flounder gigging, right?

I agree, one rookie QB has already lit up and defeated the bengals to the tune of 300+ yards and 4xTDs. Hopefully we'll make it two.

BTW, the guy on NFL.com predicting the scores for this week's games predicts Prescott has 3x INTs.

I think we will win this game, but Cincy's defense is arguably top 5. This win would be "legit" We can't let A.J. Green run wild on us.

No.

Let's not act like we played the Browns for four weeks.

He played two division games against good teams, a injured Chicago squad who beat Detroit the next week then a SF squad who shut out a 3-1 Rams team.

Commanders and Giants arent good teams...

SF and CHI are the worst in the league.... Yes worse than the Browns

He'll play well and give us a chance to win. That doesn't mean we'll win for sure. That depends on how well the whole team plays, and if this defense and bump it up a notch, but he's not going to suddenly look like Chad Hutchinson.

First, all the vanity in comparing this group of Cowboys to the disarray of last season's, injury filled team. Then, the cross comparison again vainly reacts to the strong teams as well...from last season. No vision of progression, only cold isolation.

I'll just stick with the Cowboys and walk around all the supportive negatives...thank you.

I think he is playing like a seasoned guy and the most important thing is he doesnt flinch under pressure and always keeps his eyes downfield.

Most expected Dak to flounder once the regular season started and 4 games into the season he's yet to flinch. No one expected him to have a 67.9 completion percentage with no turnovers and a 98.5 passer rating 4 games into the season. He's going to face some adversity at some point this season, whether it be a couple of picks or a bad game and I want to see how he handles it. I want to see if he can maintain the poise he's shown this season and bounce back or will he lose his confidence causing his game to come apart. If he's going to continue to develop and have the chance to be a great QB he's going to have to show he can handle some adversity and rebound from it.
