Do we expect Dak to flounder with a tougher schedule?

There are many who keep saying this. We seem to be waiting for something to stump him. He's gaining confidence in each game . He's bound to throw an Int at some point and look more like a Rookie.

Is this the game against a playoff caliber team where it shows it's ugly face or will he continue to play at a Pro Bowl level?

No. He may not play 2nd in the league Total QBR type play but he will play well and not be the reason we lose, if we lose. I don't see either of these next two teams as tougher than the 2 division games we already played.

I think he will continue to be solid and continue developing and progressing. Hopefully he starts playing at a Pro Bowl level but if not I still believe he will continue to be the solid QB he has shown to be thus far.

I keep saying yes and he keeps showing nothing seems too big for him, so who the hell knows.

But it just seems logical that a rookie QB, and this also includes Wentz, would eventually hit some rough patches.

!??! Green Bay will be infinitely tougher, especially in Green Bay. They've got a top ranked rush defense and an offense that will definitely put up points. It would be nice to have Romo for this game but I'm hopeful that our run game will win the battle with a few Dak runs for good measure. (and a secret hope that the return of DLaw will somehow be a tipping point for our defense)

Flounder? Hah.. No.. Absolutely not.

What you're seeing with Dak is real.

What I worry about is the lack of big plays and can we beat teams if we get into a shootout.

I'm shocked that we beat the 9ers after going down 14-0 and even more shocked they only scored 3 points the rest of the game.

I don't think we would be that fortunate against some of these upcoming teams on our schedule.

Dak did a heck of a job for a rookie and he has a heck of fut ahead of him but this season will depend on Romo and im ready for him to get back.

Flounder? Well, like any QB in the entire league, he's not going to play well every game. So he'll have hiccups here and there, more than likely against the tougher competition. But again, the same can be said for any player in the league. Not worried about him one bit.

I like the way the Cowboys are growing him into the position. It seems like we're opening up more of the playbook so I actually expect him to do better. But it may not be reflected in stats and pass attempts, just more in game management. I think for Cincinnati and Green Bay we're going to lean more heavily on the running game so expect to see not only more of Zeke but more of Morris too.

And I know it has to come to an end at some point, but I'm thoroughly enjoying this "no interception" ride. May it last as long as possible. :flagwave:

Yup. There's eventually going to be a DC that picks up on something that nobody had noticed to that point. I mean, look what Philly did to Big Ben and Pitt. If you played that game again today, I'm confident it would be a really close game, now that Pitt had a chance to go back and see what happened. But that week, Philly had their card. We see it all the time with vet QBs/offenses, so it only makes sense it will happen for a rookie.

If Dak continues on his present path, there's no reason to suspect he'll fail to be what he's been all along -- a winner. I'm sure he'll be challenged somewhat more than he has been so far but he's cool, calm, capable and talented enough to keep surprising us all. Even if Cincy and Green Bay manage to win, I can't help but doubt that Dak would fail to produce a highly competitive effort.

Prescott is and has been progressing faster than anyone expected. Even members of the staff have commented positively about how he has surpassed their wildest expectations of him. If the present trend continues, the FO and the staff will have a tough decision to make when it comes time for Romo to retake the reins at QB. Anything can and might very well happen.

Absolutely he's going to have some struggles kind of like Romo would, but probably not as bad LOL

Yes, but don't mind me. I'm just passing through.

I don't think he's going to turn into a pumpkin or anything... don't really see a flurry of interceptions either, unless his receivers suddenly start batting the ball up in the air. The real question is, how much longer will opponents be mystified by Dak 'n Dunk? It may just be a matter of a defense having the right personnel for the task.
