seriously some guys here are really overeacting. he hasnt done anything yet to warrant being cut, are we going to cut him because he's been injured????? any other player and there is no issue but cause it's T.O everyone keeps making him look like he's been a monster. Is it possible that he could become one this season, yes i think it is but so far he has done nothing to deserve being looked like one

Up til now it's been his mouth and the question of wheather his hammy is a real deal. Now, we learn that he is also skipping team meetings, being fined
and doesn't care enough, apparently, to even show up fot the team's
home game. I hope he is cut!

AMEN! Cut Owens in order to keep COPPER?!?! That's got to be the craziest thing I've EVER heard . Owens is a player and will do so when the season starts. I hate the guys personality in the past, but there is no doubt all the "cutters" will be sheepishly paying homage to him ala "thanks, Mean-Joe" (old Coke commercial for those still wearing underoos). He will have alot of bandwagoners sniffing after him. There is NO WAY he is getting cut, so why even start a thread like this?

I've never seen a stupid hamstring injury cause such a wide range of ridiculous reactions. We are not cutting or trading Owens for getting injured or being late for rehab meetings to deal with that same injury.

The media is intimating that Owens is faking the injury just to spark controversy and get more articles written. When he's healthy, he'll play.

Do you have evidence that TO was late to rehab to deal with his injury? What can this even mean? I would think that going to rehab on time is the expecgted way to deal with his injury...

He was fined $9500 for the offense ( late to meeting and rehab). Well documented recently.

I think there's a chance (I don't know how big of a chance) because if they're going to do it, they've got to, absolutely got to, do it before the season starts for financial reasons. And they've got to be pretty damn frustrated to cut TO for the reasons you and others have stated here and elsewhere. But there's evidence that their frustration is growing -- they've now fined him for one, BP's tone and words are getting spicier IMO, and JJ's getting a little more defensive as well.

Let's not underestimate the importance of BP being pissed off. IF he's as pissed as some are saying, then it's a very real possibility.

Presumably, though, it wasn't a good enough reason to have him avoid paying the fine. And there is no evidence that he was late because he was taking care of his injury. You seem to have made this one up out of thin air, right?

Well, not real damn often, right, since these things are announced and reported and then spread and discussed on the internets. Anybody else out of our 80-some players get fined for missing/being late to meetings this summer? Can't say for sure but I bet it's damned near nobody...

Admittedly, your sentence is awkwardly worded so you may not have meant what it appears you meant but "to deal with that same injury" comes directly after "being late for rehab meetings", which sure looks to me like his dealing with the injury caused his lateness, no?
