I could care less. He's such a distraction that I can't stand him. I'd rather win 6 games at this point than have him on the roster.
I believe this is the dumbest thing I've ever read on a sports forum.

Listen to constant media harping and challenge for the Super Bowl, or win 6 games, miss the playoffs, but have a quiet peaceful season.

HHMmmmmmmmmmmmmm... That's a tough one.

Only Jerry offered a multi year big money deal because he could change TO. Yeah.

Nobody said anything about being able to change Owens. Only that Parcells might be better suited to handle him than a lot of other coaches in the league.

I can't wait until the regular season starts so Owens can start scoring TDs and all this trade/cut talk and other nonsense can stop. Owens is a Dallas Cowboy, like it or not. And as long as he is, I'm gonna support him.

Here is what you said:

Admittedly, your sentence is awkwardly worded so you may not have meant what it appears you meant but "to deal with that same injury" comes directly after "being late for rehab meetings", which sure looks to me like his dealing with the injury caused his lateness, no?

Dude...go back and look at who you are quoting!!! (post #28). The poster you are quoting is ravidubey or something like that. NOT ME!!!! Earth to fanfromvirgina, come in. Lay down the crack pipe and wake up. Wait, maybe you're one of those reporters that just "make stuff up out of thin air" like you said...that's obviously what you've done. Geez:rolleyes:

I can't wait for TO to call out everyone in the locker room like he did in Phillie. I really think Parcells will give Spears or Hatcher the green light to **** him up! That might change his attitude for the better. A good *** whooping!

That being said, he is losing catches every game as Glenn proves he is the #1 receiver on this team. When TO finishes the year with only 40-50 catches, then it will get ugly.

You're absolutely right. My sincerest apologies. Please forgive. I'll put down the crackpipe a little earlier next time.

Up til now it's been his mouth and the question of wheather his hammy is a real deal. Now, we learn that he is also skipping team meetings, being fined
and doesn't care enough, apparently, to even show up fot the team's
home game. I hope he is cut!

Skipping meetings AKA missing a meeting

Not showing up for a home game AKA not allowed at games when injured per Parcells rules

Yes lets cut TO so we have roster space for copper LMAO

 Yeah we need Copper's 5 receiving yards from last year more than than the 1200 Owens will likely give us.

I know Parcells is very nervous about not enough Veteran WR, but just throwing this out there. We could keep Copper this way. Glenn/Crayton/Rector/Hurd/Copper Just a thought.:starspin
Shudder, no. A few sterling preseason outings haven't convinced me that wideout line-up would be effective, with or without the two te sets.

I have no desire to return to last year's laments of 'we have no #1 receiver! Glenn can't handle double teams, Glenn disappears, Glenn can't be trusted to make it thru a whole season, Crayton is injury prone, etc".

If TO never sees the field, he's at least drawing all the fire. LOL!

seriously some guys here are really overeacting. he hasnt done anything yet to warrant being cut, are we going to cut him because he's been injured????? any other player and there is no issue but cause it's T.O everyone keeps making him look like he's been a monster. Is it possible that he could become one this season, yes i think it is but so far he has done nothing to deserve being looked like one
I think you're way off the point. TO, for one thing, is showing his teammates that you don't have to practice in order to play in games or attend meetings. He is being paid a lot of money to ride a bike, etc.

Yeah, the fact is TO is ours this season... good, bad or indifferent.

It will be good.

When he gets on the field.

Long term, who knows. But he can and will play and produce this season.

Fact is, we can't win the Super Bowl without him.

Defense is championship caliber. And the offense is certainly sharp.

But without him, you are looking at Glenn and basically a bunch of UDFAs at WR.

You need another guy to be able to exploit weaknesses game in and game out and make defenses pay, or the offense won't be good enough to win games on its own.

Maybe the Defense can win games for us. Heck, the Ravens played that way the whole year one time.

But its not something I care to find out about. Not when we have a Terrell Owens in our breast pocket.

And frankly, for all the whining about him being injured, I have yet to see a single negative effect on the rest of the team. They are playing better than ever.

Unless.... :gasp: the meltdown is COMING! (enter scary music!)

But everyone you talk to on the Cowboys (who matters) seems to know exactly what the deal is with T.O.

He doesn't much affect the defense, and on offense, the two most important guys he has to work with -- Bledsoe and Glenn -- have no problems so far whatsoever.

This team will be fine. Terrell Owens is the trump card that we just keep waiting for to come to the top of the deck. Playing him should propel us into the upper echelon.

I can empathize with the lingering hamstring problem and tolerate the media showcasing while injured despite that symbolically being an affront to the coaching staff and the organization. But then afterwards missing meetings and rehab sessions, that is inexcusable.

I am glad he got fined, but I wish the fines were more financially stinging. I am just wondering are they proportionate to player compensation or standardized relative to the infraction(s) by the player association or collective bargaining agreement?

The problem is I don't know how much of this **** is real and how much is made up... I have no idea how often other guys miss or are late to meetings. It appears to me the media is doing what it can to aggravate the situation even more.

I agree.

It is unacceptable that he has been late, but it certainly isn't the first time any Cowboy has been late for a rehab or meeting. But it is front page news if Owens is involved. Not apologizing or making excuses. It simply is a fact of the way the media behaves in regards to this player.

Just cut T.O. He is not worth any of this crap he is dishing out. We can win without him. Maybe go after Branch, but let the head case go.

Kill the cap and give up a #1 for a player not worth a #1?

Great idea. [/sarcasm off]
