How appropriate your post total hit 666.

We all know what your term really means, when are you going to grow a pair and just say it?

If that's a racial reference, you're way off the mark there. I would include Elway,Young,Cunningham,Montana,Tarkington,McNabb,Culpepper in that category. How did you get to your first thousand posts without hitting 666?
That's weak man, real weak!

Testaverde has no upside. I'd say all he has left is downside. Would he be a consideration as a vet option? Yes. He's not going to get better and he isn't going to be around long.

Couch? The same Couch that can't get a job? If you want to talk about busts.....

Kordell? Upside? Classic never was and he is old as well. Dallas doesn't need him crying on the sideline.

I am all for bringing a guy in if need be, but it does need to be either a guy with upside, which none of those guys have, or a solid vet like Vinny.

Anthony Wright?

Dan Marino is out of the league too, but he's still better than AJ Feeley. That's true of Elway too, Plummer isn't good enough to carry his jock. What's your point? The NFL has some 4-5 teams with horrible starting qb's, yet are afraid to give QC a shot, at least he'll play for more games than Grossman. He would easily beat out Ferotte(sp)/Feeley,Harrington/Garcia,Warner/McCown,Grossman and company and probably Bledsoe too. That says more about the lack of intelligence of NFL gm's than QC's ability. Isn't it ironic that the one team that gave him a job made the playoffs?

Wow. The word delusional comes to mind.

Wright was an undrafted free agent. Carter played at a bigger school and bigger games. Carter only played a game and half in 2001, Wright had his chance to win the job outright after QC went down. Carter came back after his injury showed he was clearly the better qb. He clearly won it in the regular season and that counts more than any preseason game. The only wasted season we've had since 2001 was 2002(second half) and last year. Carter could have helped us win at least games in 2002 instead wasting time on that stiff Hutch who can't even beat out a scrub like Grossman. Carter's drug problems had more to do with Bill's betrayal than anything else. All qb's need to know that they wont be yanked at a moments notice. Bill repeated Jerry's fiasco of '02 by bringing another 'project poster boy'. He should have known better since he had already talked with QC about what happened before. He mismanaged the team by jerking with team chemistry at the qb position. All the players had accepted QC as their leader and were looking forward to 2004. That one move put us in freefall for who knows how many years. Changing qb's every year is the mark of a failed regime and Bill should certainly know better than that.

LOL. This is not true at all. Wright beat out Carter in TC. Wright was injured at the time he replaced Carter and he was better even then. Wright never got a chance to start because the decision was made to go with youth(?). Carter never beat out Wright. The job was handed to Carter. That's the truth of the matter. Your dead wrong on this one Kartr.

The king of dreamland keeping it real?

Now that is funny.:lmao2:

If your agenda was the team, you should be hoping Henson does become the next Aikman, because that means we can keep using those first round picks on needs other than QB.

Your agenda is stirring up crap. Your postings in this thread show that without a doubt.

Coming from the king of eye roll smilies ... I stir up crap ...

It's all you do ...

I don't hold on to blindhope, blindzebra ... you do ...

That's the difference between you and me ...

Sure, it'd be great (even for me) if Henson ended up being a player as good as Aikman ... but I'm not that dense to let my homerism for the team blind my better judgement.

So far, all you've done is cry about how great this guy is ... and you know what? "He looks lost" ...

I'm not out to rub your nose in it ... but if you keep up with the troll-like comments I'll have no choice.

So now its Bill's fault?

If he is so mentally weak that he can't handle a potential benching and has to run to the solace of drugs, then I wouldn't want him anywhere near the team.

Do you really want a guy "leading" the team in the fourth quarter if he can't handle competition and has to resort to drugs?

You are really reaching to defend the chump. Its pretty simple:
1. He wasn't very good to begin with.
2. He is a drug abuser.
3. He let his team down.
4. Nobody wants to take a chance on a marginal talent that has drug issues.

Nope he just formed his opinion on Henson because of that QB.;)

If you were referring to me, I formed my opinion of Henson based on his inexperience and waffling committment to football. And it doesn't help when 19 teams show up at his workout and leave unimpressed, plus Houston had to call Dallas back and reduce their offer. What about the other 13 teams who didn't even show up? Some, like the Bucs were more interested in Sylvester Morris' pass catching ability after his recovery from the leg injury. What about the scout who said 'Henson aint going to help anybody this year'? Was he wrong last year? Why didn't the Pats go after him to back up Brady for 4-5 years in case Brady decided to go for the big bucks or get injured? Green Bay needed an heir-apparent to Farve, Pittsburgh needed an upgrade to Mattox, yet they all passed. Why? Then they drafted qb's the very next year. HMMMM!

Oh looky here ... blindzebra making blind assumptions to suit his agenda ...

You sir, are 100% wrong ...

I've explained EXACTLY why I have this opinion about Henson ... and not once have I said it has anything to do with Carter.

That or one other word... One that has five letters, starts with "t", and ends with "l".

I've had kartr on ignore for a long time now, but I see his comments when others reply to him, and no one can truly believe some of the things he says... Unless he really is Quincy. ;)

He's always good for a :laugh2: or a :lmao2: , though. I've even though of taking him off ignore just for the comedic value. :)

Quincy isn't and won't be a Cowboy while Parcells is here. And I agree here, Junk. He let this team down. I don't trust him at all. And I don't want him anywhere near this team.

Who else?

Thats just it....there aren't many options.

I wouldn't be against a look at Rohan Davey as FA next year.

Garrard was an option, but he signed a long term deal with Jacksonville.

If BP brings in anyone this year, it will be a vet.....like Vinny.

In summary he's (Carter) the best qb we've had this decade.

You might be right, but is that really saying anything special?

Look Kartr...I don't think Quincy was a horrible QB by any means, but he wasn't great either. He was just average in my opinion and his current status makes me look generous in that evaluation. My problem is that no one can mention any Cowboy QB, past or present, without your one-man Quincy Carter Parade rolling through town.

Basically, someone else mentioned Anthony Wright. I only said it was unfortunate he wasn't afforded the same opportunities Quincy had. You somehow took that statement as a slam on your hero and like clockwork, you hijacked the thread and made it all about Quincy.

Why can't we have a discussion about PRESENT or possible FUTURE QBs without having to always bring up the Q? I know I don't help the situation by responding, but I can assure you that you aren't going to change anyone's mind on the matter.

By saying it's not we are supposed to just believe you. Not buying it for a second.

As for me being a troll.

Funny coming from someone who openly admits he likes to stir the pot, jumps at every chance to do so, criticizes people for doing the things he once did for Carter, and then does what he accused them of doing to Carter in the past.

Yep, your agenda is team.
