Do we need another receiver opposite Dez?

What's it going to be then, eh?

Garcon has disappeared in Washington as of late. He killed me in Fantasy football

I still remember the pundits salivating over the Commander WR corps before the season. I guess they forgot the fact they had no QB--Griffin, Cousins or otherwise.

Williams has been disappearing the past few games. I think we need a burner who can actually run routes. Anyone else think we need another playmaker opposite Dez? Williams does not seem to be getting open which really focuses all of the defense to Dez.

Do you watch the All-22 that shows the whole field and doesn't just follow the ball?

Williams is doing OK. He's not in the league of a number 2 like Randall Cobb, but most number 2 WRs aren't.

If it is that simple, why does not every team with a number one WR like Bryant have that speed player that can consistently take the top off a defense?

Because they have other needs? Look, I didn't even say they guy had to consistently do it. We don't need a top flight guy, just someone who can catch an occasional long ball and make the defense respect the deep routes when he's on the field. Do we have that now? I don't think so.

Is this a top priority? No. Would it complete the offense? Pretty much.

Street is a rookie and #5 out of 5 WR's. Can't expect that much, he needs to in the games.
Look who is ahead of him and knows the offense more. Next year he can be #3 easily.

Ya I just was thinking he'd play more I guess

Outplayed Dez? That may be the most ridiculous statement I have ever read on here. And there have been some pretty bad ones.

He was showing up more than dez but im sure its because dez was being bracketed.

I hear ya. He is livid at not getting the looks but he is still a baller that won't break the break. Craptree is killing my fantasy team.

Yes, we need a deep speed threat to complete the offense. We could see what Harris has?

They have tried Harris at times and I guess they don't like what they see. He's been on the team awhile now and they have seen him all year in practice and training camps. I'm guessing his route running skills and the ability to be on the same page with hot routes is not there. More to playing WR than just speed.

Harris is on the team solely because of special teams.

The only real time I saw Harris get was at the very end of the 2012 season when we had all those injuries, especially in the Skins finale.

Hey..

We have Devin Street who we drafted who is waiting in the wings..

He can't get on the field.

He's actually a stud in waiting.

Also..Beasley has suddenly become a Go-to guy we are not using enough..

and there was a time not too long ago Duane Harris was being used in the slot..

creating big plays with bubble screens and such..

and then Escobar is a RedZone crusher we rarely use who needs the ball.

We don't need to replace Williams..

we just need to throw them the ball more.

Let's calm down. It's his second season. He plays his role well enough for a youngster, and has chemistry with Romo when plays break down. R-E-L-A-X relax.

He's also a good blocker

Agree. Look at the randle touchdown as an example. He sprinted downfield to make a block to give Randle one less defender to worry about

Personally love watching lil bit Beasley get the ball and make them look like they're stuck in molasses.
It's almost like we don't know have one of the best offenses and Romo doesn't have the second highest qbr in the league. I don't know why everybody keeps wanting to change what's working.

To answer your question, sure we could improve the number two spot. I just don't think it's near the top of the list in priority.
Gimme a like button, anything more is just a luxury. Develop what we have, think there is lots of potential with Beasley and Williams, would like more out of Street.

Guess what guys -- this offense has a ton of weapons. So for periods of time, there will always be someone who gets left in the cold production wise. Sometimes that's Witten. Sometimes it's Beasley. Most times its a guy like Escobar. Sometimes that's even Dez. (Remember the threads saying Dez shouldn't get paid because he can be taken out of games? Yeah, those were dumb too.)

The offense has so many weapons, if they wanted to go out and set yardage records, they could do it. They could go out in hurry up and just sling the ball around and all our receiving targets could get their stats. But that, thankfully, is not how these coaches are game planning.

One important missing element in the Cowboys' offensive arsenal is that of having a receiver with great speed and the ability to get open on a highly consistent basis. Adding such an advantage to our offensive arsenal would help us to sustain drives and should also significantly increase our scoring production as well.

They could send Dunbar deep a few times while lined up as a WR if they really need more speed. I think it was the AZ game where they gave him several snaps at WR late in the game and it was one of their better drives.

If Harris had the speed element, we would have seen it by now.

Williams has a lot to like. I think he is a good worker, blocks well. But he lacks edge and a special quality.

He is a lot like Harper was. Big play here and there but not a player who can take over the game when the number one is getting stifled.

That might be good enough and maybe we are splitting hairs.

I thought Williams was doing a good job as #2 in an offense that has significantly cut down on pass attempts.

WR should not be high on our radar in the draft. DT and DE should be our primary concerns. Depending on what we do with Free, OL should get notice as well.
