Do we owe Commanders fans an apology?

Apologize to the Commanders? For what... whipping their tails on a perinnial basis?

We'll see. We haven't played a single game yet. Don't call this off season overhaul a success yet. I like the young players, but am questionable about Rivera and Fergie. Neither have done squat for hte $20 mil we threw at them.

Henry seems to have really settled the 2ndary, but let's wait and see.

Price hasn't played a down for us yet.

Bledsoe doesn't look too smooth and hasn't really shown much difference between him and undrafted Tony Romo.

Again, you are basing this on pre season. Rivera looked good against Jacksonville. As for Fergie, just wait, he will be in there, and he will make a difference.

Not even close to owing them an apoligy. they do this every year. We patched some holes. We tried last year with Wiley and failed. Everyteam salavates over the FAy period to pick up a piece or two here or there. Its a tool teams use to get better, much like the draft. We use it, Skins use it, Texans use it, Vikes use.....

We make fun of Snyder not for using the waiver wire and FAy. We make fun of Snyder cause he goes out and buys every STAR on the market, ala the yankees (who I make fun of too) and then throw a dud out there on the field. Then they gear up and spend another 100 mill next year to buy all the stars and then throws another dud out there. We make fun of the skins cause they suck at player evaluations and know nothing about running a franchise. Spurrier was a joke, Gibbs was good, I dunno know? Shot was a joke there. Snyders the joke though. Thats why we make fun of them, not for using the same tools that we use, but instead of digging a hole with a shovel, the grab a broom and try to sweep the dirt out while everyone else uses a shovel. they will get there one year if they keep at it long enough.

My only question is how does snyder still have to nfl nickles to rub together. He should be so buried in cap hell by now, we dabbled with fire and got burnt to hell and Snyder burns down the house and does not get a scratch????

Yes, let us apologize. Sorry, Commander fans, for kicking your *** every year, and we look forward to it again in 2005. :p:

Is this a joke thread?

The hell with them and their fans.

Believe me, they would not bother to apologize for all the insults, barbs and disrespect they have hurled our way.

No need to apoligize based on the results the Deadskins have had. They've made all of their moves and haven't even sniffed the playoffs. Not likely that they'll accomplish that this year either.

I'll apologize I guess. We'll here goes.... HMMMMPH... AAAH... HMMMMMMMMNNNPPHHH... NAAH! The hell with it, I'm not apologizing at all!

Here's hoping the whole draft class for the Saddle Blanket Jamboree falls flat on their face...

I don't worry much about Gibbs as coach, but remember ladies and gents... Joe Gibbs doesn't have Jack Kent Cooke to run the show anymore... he's got that little Oompa Loompa crossed with Napoleon running the show now.

No apologies from me. Every team has to be rebuilt from time to time but you can't do it every year the way they tried to do it. Our rebuild is done now we have to gain experience and maintain the team. Now we have to grow together and just fill in the blanks with upgrades here and there and replace ageing or departed players each year.

For years, we as Cowboys fans mocked the Commanders for overhauling their roster every year. They would go crazy in free agency, handing out signing bonuses to young and old alike, they would go deal crazy in the draft, and they would trade whenever they could.

Don't lie, you know as a Cowboys fan, you made fun of the Skins at least once for treating their roster like a fantasy football team. So my questions is do we owe them an apology because aren't the Cowboys depending on the exact same thing?

Jerry went crazy in free agency even giving out large signing bonuses to questionable older players such as Rivera, or corners like Henry who some folks didn't even think was one of the top three talents at the position. We forked out money for a Peerless Price revival, a Drew Bledsoe revival, and two draft picks for a linebacker on one of the league's worst defenses. You have to admit, Jerry Jones looked an awful lot like Dan Snyder this year. I think someone could easily point to our team as making some of the same questionable moves.

So do we owe them an apology? Nahhhhhhh...... :p: I don't know what is (probably a bad case of being a Cowboys homer), but these offseason moves just feel different than your typical Dan Snyder offseason. Bill Parcells seems to be looking for specific types of players, not just anyone who put up big numbers. I think Dan Snyder would have gone for the more flashy Smari Rolle, but Parcells was looking for a physical corner and chased Henry. He wanted the leadership from Rivera, not the youth from Wahle. And so on. Not to mention, the only contract that really threatens to hurt us is Rivera.
I haven't mocked them for overhauling. I have mocked them for trading away draft picks and over paying for the players they overhaul with.

No, I don't owe them an apology until their way of overhauling builds a Super Bowl winner.

I wouldn't apologize to my enemy. I suppose that was tongue in cheek. Enemies should be respected but still destroyed.

I don't see any true comparison. We are no where near salary cap purgatory. The Foreskins will not be able to say that for sometime. If Brunell or Portis goes down with a career ender....they are way up sheot creek.

I'd have to ask Adam, but I think we have somewhere near 5 million left under the cap.

Having said that, I don't care if we go 2-14 (you all know who it is we'll beat) ..............NEVER, NEVER, NEVER Apologize to foreskins!

~~sigh~~ We'd be NFC East champs every year if only we could play the Deadskins 16 games a season. :cry2:

And fellas, you got it all wrong, we WANT to admit we did the same type of Dan Snyder overhauling to the roster. That way, when we make the Playoffs, we can rub it in their faces even more. :D

"Well..... our owner and future Hall of Fame coach can do it, why can't yours?" :nana:

You know how happy skins fans would get if we all just apologized?.........To bad it aint hapenning lol.
