If he's there pick him. He played some DE in college, he'll give Melton a break some snaps, and they'll wreak havoc together in the nickel package. If Melton doesn't work out you have your replacement.


I think he has the best chance to be something special out of anyone who will be in our range.

One quality lineman does not fix the most vital unit in this scheme. Dallas doesn't need Donald, but it needs a devastating pass-rushing end, a bull of a left tackle and another end better than anything we know we've got on the left side.

I'm not for drafting three safeties, but I'm all for the DL. Get two interior ones and two ends to possibly create a quality rotation and beat out a few players who likely shouldn't be on the roster but will be because of a lack of competition.

I guess you could say the same about safety, but there are less spots to go around.

You don't draft need anyways. Go BPA and if Donald is BPA then take him. Melton is o a 1 year prove it deal. We can release him after this year. Even if Melton is back to his prime then a rotation and nickel DT of Melton and Donald would be scary.

This just makes reaching or trading up for Donald not a need.
