Do we still target Donald? Or do we go S in round one?

With a trade down Shazier would be an excellent get. He'd bring the kind of speed and playmaking we need at the Will.

Carter has speed to burn too. He can't track a TE or get of a block to save his life though. I see nothing different about Shazier in that regard.

Who you take. No DE worth the 16th pick.
If you want to draft for need then trade back and draft your top DE. Every DE that will be at 16 should be there at 25 or 26

Ealy? I am ok with safety then DE in rd 2

There are 2 routes we go here.

If at 16 we take Barr or Donald in that order.
...AND If those 2 players are not on the board at the time trade down and accumulate 2nd and 3rd round picks if possible.

I would be completely fine by trading down as long as those 2 are off the board. Heck, I would trade down almost twice to the bottom of the first or early 2nd round if
it nets us 2-4 extra picks.

One of the safeties will fall to the bottom of the first, as well as the pass rushers we need. In a draft of such depth the quality of players from the 16-45 range are almost very similiar.

Stock up on DL, snag the LB from FSU or Shazier, possibly Joyner with the extra pick. Get an influx of depth in this facility on the defensive side and make Rod earn his paycheck.

Honestly you have a list of say 7 guys, if any of those guys are at 16-you take them. Unless some offers you a very good trade....... Honestly I see Martin or Evans being the pick here....but hope the trade scenario falls into our laps

You draft your board and don't overdraft a player because it is a position of need.

We've got our new DT with Melton in the fold, so the desperation factor at that position has been reduced. I think it's very possible Melton's acquisition has opened the door wide open for Kony Ealy to step over the threshhold into Valley Ranch. We've definitely made room for a promising DE like Ealy now, since Ware has taken Denver up on their generous offer. I'm hoping he'll fall to us. In the event that doesn't happen, there'll be plenty of other talents available. Pryor, anyone? Come to think of it, Martin might look good on our OL as well.

You mean Ealy? Not a fan. Takes alot of snaps off and doesn't dominate. Good player but at 16 he would be a major reach. Critchton is a better player imo. Ealy might be serviceable and always good but will never be great and at 16 I'm looking for great. I'm looking for a difference maker. Maybe in a trade back i'm Fi e with Ealy. I just do see the it factor when watching him.

was on my phone. it has a mind of it's own in typing.

thanks for the reply. i did like the kid but hey, open mind time.

Also didn't have a impressive combine. Marinelli likes fast of the line quick players. Ealy is slow off the line.
Broaddus posted a photo of film he was watching of Ealy. The ball was in play and everyone else was moving and playing and Ealy was still in his stance.

Broaddus asked what is he waiting for.

Any DE but Ealy. We need this draft to get good players.

I will go with the unpopular pick and figure out how I'm going to get JFB on draft day. Use every other pick on DL and OL but get the next franchise QB jerry. I know I'm going to be let down but who knows

i can find a single embarassing pic of a lot of players.

that pic doesn't define the player.

You think he can play 43 DE? I'm still trying to figure it out. Looks alot more like a natural OLB in a 34. I've watched some of his game film. Not to good vs the run and not overly impressive vs the pass this year either .

I was going to ask the same question...

BPA all the way unless it is a RB, TE or a CB then trade down and gain an extra pick.

You draft your board and don't overdraft a player because it is a position of need.

Its hard to imagine many defenders who could be there not filling a need.

I guess there could be offensive players rated highly but if it's a defender taken, BPA and need should probably get ya close to the same player.

I don't care, so long as it's a player on either line.

We could use a CB. Be hard to pass on Gilbert at 16 if there. Claiborne has yet to show anything and carr could be released next offseason.
