Do you care if Ray Sherman leaves?

I'd hate to see him leave, but you cannot fault him for accepting a better position if it comes along. I think his relationship w/ the WRs will be missed the most because he's one of the few coaches on this staff that demands respect!

Sherman has served well and ably.
If he can better his situation, great, but we'd be losing a good one if he goes.

If Ray Sherman opts to stay, we should give him a bonus for helping keep TO from losing his mind. TO screams and yells, but I can tell he respects Coach Sherman. And Sherman knows how to deal with him. You can't put a price on that.

Same here. I though he was one of our most impressive coaches on Hard Knocks.

I thought Jason Garrett had a great performance in Hard Knocks as well. That "F that" speech gave me chills. Didn't mean much though. It is hard for me to trust anything from that show.

The difference for me is that was just a speech in front of the team. There was no real interaction with the players with JG. In fact, I don't even remember that many moments with JG except for that one.

With Sherman, there were many scenes of him talking to and training the players. From the way he handled Lowber to the way he got all the WRs in a group that day and chewed them out for their effort -- and by the way they all said "Yes Sir" and looked sounded sincerely respectful -- I thought he showed very well.

My concern is... that TO won't have anyone else to scream at if Sherman leaves...:

That was also in front of the cameras. Like I said I don't trust much from that show.

And Bobby Carpenter might have been our best linebacker :bang2: :laugh2:

Exactly. What we saw on Hard Knocks did not mean squat. Spencer was supposedly unblockable remember?

In either case, it is a longshot for Sherman to get the Rams' HC position, why not just keep Haslet.

But he might get a OC position. I would just slide John Garrett to WRs and let the other Garrett brother (Judd) take over TEs (he's coached that position before).

Losing Sherman would suck, hard. It'd open another hole--for a position coach at a position that's got a lot of strong, distrusting personalities--where we've got pressing problems elsewhere. I'd hate to lose him.

By year's end, the WRs weren't even making an effort on a lot of plays.

Sherman had 2 stud wideouts, and got very little out of them.

His fault, or Garrett's? I blame them both.

This will be really bad if he leaves. Ray Sherman is a buffer.

If T.O. is still here next year, he will be doing push ups in his driveway.

Quite simply, no. To be more blunt, I don't give a rat's rear end.

And that goes for every coach except for Wade Phillips, and especially for Garrett.

Seriously, I could call better plays than Garrett. I'm not exaggerating.

No doubt. Our WRs would be burning Mike Jenkins in mini camp, no problem.

Forget that. With the great Amendola as WR coach, we'd probably never lose a game. Ever.

Not only can we not afford to lose Sherman, we need another vetern offensive mind to help Garrett do game planning and game adjustments. If we'd had kept Williams on the bench and Austin in his spot, we'd be just fine.
