He will own the offense, won't say he doesn't know the offense after 4 years like Mike
So what? The results are what matters and Payton's results aren't any better than MMC. In order for me to get behind a head coach change that coach has to be better than MMC and Payton isn't.

Yes. Mike sucks, so do all the offensive coaches. Game plan was terrible, players suck, needs an offensive rebuild and it starts with new coaches who know what they are doing.

Yep, and I hire Dan Quinn.

McCarthy punted the ball. That was all on him, and you don't punt it there. Jake was just saying in the chat that it's 4 down territory, and I totally agree. You don't have time to score if you get it back, especially if you run off 30 seconds to get your punt team on the field. You have a better shot at getting the first down.

Terrible decision. You play to win.
Yeah you can make that case but we had nothin going !

Hire Payton ?

Hire Quinn ?

Has MM gotten us to his ceiling ?
What for? You know they will only hire another puppet. This team needs vision and first class management at the GM and asst GM positions who can hire their coaches and build a real team. These two idiots are myopic and are year to year with no long range plan in mind. You can't blame them, since their jobs ain't on the line.

No. Big mike was fine. QB didn’t make the tough plays that were there.
What does he do? He's an offensive guru and kept KM as the OC. He doesn't call plays, he's terrible at game management. The fact that he kept Maher is enough to fire him.

looks like you do
I don't. You responded TO ME initially. You keep trying to convince me but I don't man. Like I said MOVE ON. It appears you don't know the meaning of that.

It's like someone that keeps tapping me on the shoulder telling me something I don't care about over and over again. That's what you are doing.

No. I don't really see a clear upgrade.

I would move on from Moore or at least hope he gets a HC gig however. Dak & Kellen need to separate.

I think we should call Greg Roman as OC and roll w/Dak:

and try to acquire Trey Lance from SF.

My take on the coaching today:
The defense was prepared and played like it.
I guess Maher redeemed the Special Teams after his first PAT miss as well as KJs punt coverage fumble play. So Specials were prepared as well.

Now offensively, there were some issues.
But more on QB execution AGAIN than play calling but maybe a drastic move like putting Rush in could have improved QB decision making which was the ultimate reason for the team loss.

This starting QB's poor decision making prevents this team from winning post season games.

It's a hard reality to face but a true one.
