Do you get a feeling it's over?

After yet another loss I just had this terrible feeling sink in. Are we going to miss the playoffs again?

I had another Die hard Cowboy fan call me up after the game and he was just telling me it was over. He wasnt taking the loss very well to say the least.. And I had to cheer him up, tell him there is still a chance. I dont know how I did it since this is probably about as low as it gets for me.

Yes there is a chance. But We play the saints. The Commanders always give us problems and we finish off against the Eagles.

It doesnt look good guys...I'm just depressed right now.

"So close" comes to mind watching these last couple of games.

I cant go ahead and say its over before its actually over. Just doesnt work for me. The "pattern" of losing in December seems to be there though.

If we dont make playoffs. THAT failure becomes COLOSSAL.

True that. Different coach. Same story. Undisciplined, sloppy, lack of heart, etc.

What's truly disappointing is that even our best players can be absolute boneheads and screw us over. Witten will have a penalty or run the wrong route (Steelers game last year). Romo will lose his mind and throw a stupid interception or miss a wide open receiver. Barber or Felix will cough up the football. Newman will be burned deep, while our pass rushers will be complete non-factors. Winning is hard enough without our good players shooting us in the foot, as they have done the last few years.

After Romo's annual, "This loss hurts but all we can do is try to get better for next season" speech, where do we go from here?
I know...I'm beaten down. We are what we are. There's no evidence that says otherwise.

it's over, honestly i don't think we win another game this season even the Skins are playing pretty good right now and when is the last time we won a week 17? game let alone a week 17 divisional game :bang2:
the way things have been going, Dallas will blow out the Saints by 30.. then get blown out by WAS and PHI...

The last one I remember that mattered was Emmitt Destroying the Giants with a bum shoulder on the way to the Division and a bye and the Superbowl.

Then again we do not have guys that know how to show up like that on this team.

sadly without looking it up to confirm I think the last win we had the last week of the season against a divison opponent was like the giants in 99.

I don't see it as being a blowout. I see it as we either have a lead or keep it close and then find someway to blow it towards the end of the game. This team does enough to get you excited and then pulls the rug right from under you and leaves you disappointed and frustrated

Every cowboy fan needs to prepare for the possibility of going 0-3 in the last three games.

If you simply resign yourself now -- you can sit back and laugh at the stupid plays called, effort or lack of effort by players, missed assignments, coach not coaching but standing on sideline looking lost (Turner coached to the last second even though they had game well in hand today), etc...

Phillips Sucks
Garrett Sucks

Need to get rid of more non producting veterans...mentality and leadership still sucks.

You just described the season for my UTEP Miners. Man, I'm sick and tired of it...I've had entirely too much of that kind of heart-breaking disappointment this football season.

It's the fact that it's 1-2 plays... score a td on 3rd or 4th and goal. Don't miss the FG, dont give up the punt return vs NYG, make a stop on NYG's last drive (Wk2) or don't fumble the ball, tackle Brandon Marshall, hit Austin in the endzone,

that's 4 games....what a difference 1-2 plays can make in a game and a season.

I'd rather do that than not make it.

Remember, in 2006, Dallas should have won that game up in Seattle. The Cowboys were 9-7.

The Cowboys' defense gave up some plays today. They gave up 20 points, but the defense isn't getting bombed like it did in 2006. The safeties were getting roasted.

There is still some hope, I think.

I'm going down with the ship if it goes down.:)

My heart says, "hell us we can make the playoffs" but my head says, "are you serious?"

the way the defensive players looked at the end of the game, it's over

if we did struggle to make the Play-Offs it's one and done

Yes, I do get the feeling that it is over.

I thought we had a good chance of getting over the hump in December but the pressure and the schedule appears just too much for this team.

It sickened me to my stomach to hear some fans actually claim that the recent "Player's Revolt" against the media, in particular Steve Dennis was going to be some type turning point and the players would rally.

Even though the Saints Game may be closer then people think, I believe we still lose that game.

What we have to hope for is that we beat Philadelphia and that the Commanders will have mailed the season in when we play them again.

Again, people are FOOLING themselves if they don't think the history of losing around this part of the season doesn't have a negative effect on this team's psyche. I think the fans and the media constantly reminding them of their failures in December's past has a bad psychological effect on this team and really shows how mentally weak they are.

The Broader Perspective!!

It's over and are you really surprised. Happens every freakin year. :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Yeah its over..

I can't even look forward to the draft because we don't have a 1st round pick... Jerry should of traded Bennett for that 1st when he had the chance.

I don't remember us trading the 1st away.

That was last year. We still have ours. IIRC.

True.

I'm getting my sports teams mixed up. The Flyers don't have a 1st round draft pick for 2010. :laugh2:

Seriously, out of the games left, the only one I think they have a chance of winning is against the Saints. The Saints seem to play to the level of their competition. They'll lose to the Skins and the Eagles (badly).

It's over with three straight losses I am afraid.

If we go 0-5 in December and January this year the board will implode.
