Do You Have a Favorite Bad Movie?

If so, why do you like it?

I like Red Dawn. I like everything about the movie and in truth it is really dumb. From Cuba and Russia being able to get paratroopers all the way to Colorado to the propoganda all the way through the movie it is ridiculous. But dang it is just an awesome bad movie.

My favorite part? C. Thomas Howell being told by Powers Boothe that all his hate will burn him up as he carves notches on the butt of his shotgun for the enemy he has killed. He replies, "keeps me warm."

Cracks me up every time.

So, what is yours?

Kind of off topic.....I had a good friend that was in that movie. I can't remember his character name but he was the principle's kid that was wearing the locator beacon and they whacked him. He was also in The Outsiders. He was a SOC and drove the red mustang. They actually let him keep the 'Stang. It really was a POS tho. His name is Darren Dalton. Played bass in one of my first bands out of HS. Good guy.....still.

Plenty of movies on here that I like as well.

Nice to see I'm not the only one who likes Starship Troopers.

:D

I like Prince of Darkness.

Liquid Satan...:laugh2:

Once meet Rowdy Roddy Piper outside a 7-11 in Albuqerque New Mexico when I was in HS. He was pretty cool. We asked him to buy us some beer, he told us to get jobs and gave us tickets to the matches.

:laugh2:

He was cool.

Great Story! Glad to hear that he has a good sense of humor.

Mesa of Lost Women! In the running for top ten worst movies of all time. You have not seen nothing if you've missed the Tarantula Dance bit. It's not only merely bad, it's really most sincerely BAD.

I too have a fondness for Starship Troopers, but the incredibly stooopid strategy and tactics displayed by supposed military men is jaw dropingly bad. Chimpanzees who got C's in school could beat those guys.

Big Trouble in Little China and Better Off Dead are just great little films, and shouldn't be on the list....they're not bad!

Starship Trooper fans unite! :laugh2:

I love it when the reporter is being torn apart... AND HIS CAMERAMAN KEEPS FILMING IT! Closeup even! :lmao2: Also, the part where the coloniel, general whatever is found alive at the colony fort on one of the bug planet... I'm just like Ironside's character and was eager to shoot him myself. :p:

I agree about Big Trouble In Little China. Then again, Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall are two of my favorites. Glad to see another Prince of Darkness fan as well.

Damn, thats a blast from the past. I"m not sure I've even thought about that movie in 10 years! RIP John Ritter. He definitely died too young.

"That was Zach. He's in jail."

"For what?"

"Cockfighting."

:laugh2::lmao2:

Sad thing is that Heinlein's book is a real classic. Hollywood destroyed it because the book really made the Military the good guys and of course that drives hollywood right up the wall.

You disapprove? Well...too bad! We're in this war for the species, boys and girls.

Twister. I love storm shows but the story line to Twister is pathetic... I watch it anyway. :laugh1:

A great flick, no doubt. The on cable version really kills the cinematic masterpiece that is....the shower scene.

Kurt's best line ever:

"It's all in the reflexes."

Supposedly in the book the monster in the end kills him in The Pork Chop Express.

I do love both One Crazy Summer and Better Off Dead.

"He put his testicles all over me"

"His testicles?"

"Like an octopus, his testicles"

"Oh, tentacles, tentacles."

---Foam, the story of a crazed dolphin with rabies.
