We used to say, "Big time players make big time plays, in big time games!" We haven't had that since the 90s.

It can be said that "Stupid players make stupid plays, in big time games." We seem to see that a lot. Dropping passes, silly penalties, blown coverages.

My answer is "no". Until we get back to the former.

I will still root for this team....I will still hope for the best....but my confidence in this team keeps falling. I mean, even when we were up 28-14 last week, I knew.....I knew....we were still going to lose. I had zero confidence.

Pretty sad POV.....I just take them one game at a time and enjoy them....I've seen many hateful fans up closer and personal, I refuse to be one if them. IT'S A FRIKKIN GAME! Get a grip.

Yup, if I ever get to the level where I let the outcome of games get personal to where I really start feeling better about life as a result of a game, then that'll probably be the time for me to take a break from the sport. It's a game, and I'm going to try to enjoy it as best as I can.

You have to ask, is there any team who can stop us? I mean look at Dak’s stats. We may not win it but the last player to blame will be Dak. He’s the GOAT! What’s to say we won’t win it every year he’s the starter. He just has that ability to take over a game and put a team on his back despite other deficiencies on the team. Dak for ROH. Dak for HOF. it's the hope that kills you, that's the problem for so many of us here isn't it?

I think the problems are MANY and to be honest, we won't overcome some/ all of them in one season to win a SB.

• The cap era took away our advantage against the "small" teams so we can't outspend them any longer - the NFL doesn't allow anyone to "do a Man City" so that's 1 for the negative list.

• I can't see us hiring a credible "I'm in charge" HC while Jerry is here (maybe SJ when he's GM too) so we are stuck. A player needs to understand the chain of command and we don't have that with our HC. I'm not talking about big MIke, he's fine but he's on a leash.......ANY coach.

• Our decent W L is actually an issue. We rarely pick top 10 so the blue chip players rarely fall to us. TB / SF have picked at the top of the draft a lot then suddenly "got good" but we don't...........

• .....and that's because Jerry wants us to be relevant EVERY year rather than have a rebuild year or 2 and come back stronger - it's the curse of being America's Team and being the media focal point. Take a hit then come back stronger.

• America's Team curse part 2 - we are in the spotlight so much that good players are seen as great and we overpay on contracts so our roster is top heavy and has been for years and years. it just doesn't allow for a balanced team.

So in summary, no. We have too many hurdles to allow us to win 3 or 4 playoff games in 1 year. 27 years and counting as evidence can't be wrong.

Can? Yah its possible. They have the talent and the QB. Will they? I would bet against it. Jerry either does something really dumb like demand we feature Zeke, or he fails to make the one or two key moves we need to get us over the top. Even then I am not sure we have the coaching staff to do it.

Can they win a Super Bowl? Yes. Anything can happen. Injuries can blow up the other contenders, the refs can suddenly become Cowboys lovers, or the Cowboys could just get hot and win. They have talent on this team.

Will they? I doubt it. Not this year. To many injuries. They are not making their own breaks.

Do I blame the front office? I suppose they deserve the blame, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. I think the Jones's have squandered some opportunities with their stubbornness and incompetence but the drafting has gotten a lot better.

To me, this season is really about Dak, and the offense in general. Their habit of folding in the 2nd half of the season will be proven to be unfixable this year or they breaks the snide. If they collapse the next 3 or 4 games I think we have an answer we do not want. It means a big decision after Dak's contract is up.
