A very good question. I half a ritual.

Ever time I see a fellow cowboy or cowboyette fan I yell out (in a nonthreatening tone) "Hey! How Bout Them Cowboys?"

This is usually followed by a frown by the pesimists or a grin by the optometrists. But it always leads to a nice (but usually short) conversation about prospects, Dez's talents, how Tony should retire ("time for new blood" ), our terrible Defense and or yays or nays for Jerra (guess which be most numerous, yays or nays).
It always ends with a high five and remarks about mein sharp apparel and my neck tattoo and how next season we half to do dis or dat.
Cowboys fans are sehr zugänglich, belief me, and are always glad to talk football.
I half made friends this way with this charming weigh I half with people. So do not hesitate to say "hey!" to Cowboys fans.

Always, but it happens on fewer occasions these days. :(

I am in upper management of a grocery store chain and when I see a customer with a Cowboys shirt on, I usually tell the cashier to give them a discount.

Now that's good stuff a true Cowboys fan. Hey if you see someone in a Commander or pittsburg shirt or hat tell the cashier to add on a surcharge.

Problem with that is, a lot of people are using that phrase to antagonize people wearing Cowboy gear now days. My friends text me that after the Cowboys lose so I've seen it too much over past 17 years.....

Then they are not real friends. I will be your friend if you want to dump them.:)

It all depends on where I am at. When in Cali, usually do a small comment or something but when in Houston, rarely I will say anything unless it is someone in the neighborhood. Lots of Cowboy fans down here so it is not even remotely rare to bump into one.

Also, I usually wear my Dallas cap with just the star on it. If I run into someone wearing some sort of gear and they don't acknowledge me in any way, I usually continue on.

More often than not, I regret talking to most Dallas fans afterwards anyways, they have no clue about the team past Romo.

I live in California I test people when they say they are Cowboys fans like I am. When they say Romo sucks and we should get rid of him I say he is better then Carter Hutch and Drew more often times then not I get who are they then I KNOW Im not dealing with a real Cowoy fan so I just change the subject.

Here in Austin, I always try to say something but surprisingly you don't see very many people in Austin wearing Cowboys gear.

I don't know if that means there are not that many Cowboy fans in Austin or if the fans are too embarrassed to wear their gear? Maybe a little bit of both if I was guessing.

When sporting the Blue -n- Silver my fav.is "Dallas Sucks!".

Usually a nice break the ice "lol" moment but the occasional look and walk away without noticing my shirt/hat/jersey/pin ect. is kinda sad.

True story: One time a guy wearing a Commanders hat and shirt came in to one of our stores in Mississippi and I told him if he would say "Go Cowboys!", I would give him his deli sandwich for free. He didn't do it though.

I'd like to charge double for Commander and NY Giant fans... and kick the Philly fans out of the store. Bad for business though. :D
